No this isn't about running a console down I mean have you ever didn't want to buy a console because you didn't like a companies business ethics or because they promise so much and deliver so little.

I think I've done myself out of many good gaming experiences in the past because of being that way. I at to really push myself to get a NextGen console this gen Has Sega no longer make consoles and my Nintendo Wii so far has disappointed me. In my younger years I was going to only ever buy Sega consoles. :)

Yeah I caved in time and bought the 360. What I found though even though I don't like how Microsoft squeeze has much money out of you has they can. It does delver the goods it promises. I still don't think I could push myself to buy a PS3 I just can't stand Sony.

I think somewhere deep down I blame Sony for Segas down fall so despise them for it. I am glad I bought the 360 in the end has I'm having a lot of fun with the it.

If Hitler came back from the dead and made a console, I'd probably not buy it no matter how good it was.

Other than that, I have no loyalties.

Sega hasnt exactly had its demise though has it, they are still making games for every console available.

And in answer to your question, I would never not buy a conole because of who makes it.

If its good and I want it , Ill buy it. Even if its made by Bin Laden himself.

I do not feel that way about any console. At the end of the day, you're playing games from a diverse range of developers too.

I don't realy blame Sony for the downfall of Sega, I think Sega underestimated the Playstation, Who wouldnt? Same with Sony underestimating the Xbox and now look how well the 360 is doing!! Nintendo was always gonna come back anyway and rightly so to, imo they the only dedicated gameing company to relase a console.

I don't realy care who makes the console aslong it as good games that I will enjoy :)

Not as such. I don't have a PS3 because of the way Sony seem to screw over Europe at every opportunity. However this wouldn't stop me buying one, at this moment of time I don't think it offers anything that I can't get from my 360. This will most likely change in the future and if so I will get one.

not really, although I have to say, I've not been a fan of the playstation franchise since the PS2 was released. PS1 when it was released was freekin awesome. never really seen anythin like it before. but for me, the PS2 just seemed so dull lol

Don't get me wrong, there were a lot of amazing games released on it, but there was just no appeal at all for me to buy one. I think I've still got that same feeling for the PS3 although I havn't actually played on one yet so I reserve judgement on that :)

other than that, i'll buy a console based on if it interests me

I refused to buy a ps2 after the demise od the dreamcast, but the problem is, is there are so many products available to buy that aren't ethically sourced / produced (certain coffee for example) that it can be difficult to justify boycotting one thing and not another. People demand value for money, the cheapest produced product that while we think we are getting a better deal, others often are not. Being competitive is different than being unethical though.

edit: another thing, just because micrsoft or sony may be seen as corporate giants lacking in certain morals, they still employ the little man /discuss :)

I really dont see why people want Sega to create another console. A console is just plastic and parts, now you can get Segas games on all the consoles without needing another console, it would be great if nintendo consoles went to the wall and everyone would save money again.

It's because, as said previously, sega have not made 1 great game since they stopped making consoles.

Why Nintendo? No one is making consoles like they do with the Wii and DS. If anything MS should drop out as the PS3 does everything the 360 does.

In the past i bought the PS1, and PS2... i even have a PSP, but i bought a jap import well before they came out over here.

Since then though i have taken a dislike to sony, and how they have treated europe with their hardware releases, and i refuse to buy anything more from them... thus i have chosen to go the Xbox 360 route
