Branded pharmaceuticals versus own brand (supermarket etc)

But how they can be different if the amounts of drugs in them are exactly the same? Obviously if you buy two kinds of painkiller and the branded one contains more paracetamol then it'll be more effective...

because there a\re variations of each chemical/mixture that cans speed absorption so less is destroyed in the stomach. Which is only available in the brand ones due to patents/costs.

I would expect the big companies to have better quality control then the cheaper brands. Also there is the psychological effect, if you think the big companies produce better/more potent drugs then the smaller companies, then when you take the drugs, your brain may make the big name drugs seem to work better, even though its all in your head.

Heh, never seen websites like that before. Though I would imagine they don't sell some pharmacy only stuff like dihydrocodeine.

Aldrich sell pretty much everything you can think off, their catalog is about 3 inches think and bible size font.

just for certain things you need licenses/reason/forms etc.

Like you can't order the duty free ethanol because your not a lab.

You can get 99% pure morphine off there with the right forms etc.

Shops own brand = win.

I got fed up of spending a fiver for 7 Zirtek throughout the summer and tried some of Lidl's hayfever tablets which are about 50p odd and worked much better.

Well if you read what I said it depends on what it is. Some drugs contain amounts of each chemical, even if the ingredients are the same the actual volume of each in it can be different, as can the delivery method, capsule, pill, gel-thingy etc. Obviously if it is literally identical in every way then there is no difference,e or it is a difference that is unlisted for some reason. The main example that works for me is Nurofen (sp) vs. other Ibuprofen. I have tried other brands and own brands but these ones are then only ones that seem to work. I took 3 sets today, the first batch was generic ones from Sainsburys', the second and third were Nurofen, my headache disappeared within 5 mins of taking the Nurofen, the Sainsburys' stuff did sweet FA.

On the flip side, I find no difference at all with anti-allergy pills. Cheap as chips works fine for me

The principle one being a Home Office licence to possess controlled drugs, as morphine is Class A.

M

yup.

Need to find out what you need to get the duty free ethanol, then a way to forge it :p

edit: wish i lived in the USA :p
Purchasing 190- and 200-proof ethanol has never been easy, until now! Because these ethanols are federally regulated, an ATF permit is required to purchase 190- and 200-proof ethanol. Sigma-Aldrich takes the hassle out of this process for you. No ATF paperwork is needed, nor any records for you to keep. Sigma-Aldrich immediately pays the federal excise tax (200-proof pure alcohol=$27.00/gallon).

I don't think you should be recommending the use of codine, it's a hardcore painkiller and can be addictive too.

Doses are so small without prescription it's not very risky at all, also they contain such a high doe of paracetamol you would vomit it all back up if you tried to take enough to get an effective high from the codeine.

If the objective is to get high though, people would extract the codeine first as it does not require any special equipment, it only requires purchasing the tablets from multiple different stores to get enough tablets to produce a usefull ammount of codeine.

Of course, if you intend to use it as intended then chances are there will be no problems at all.

This
It was on the tv a while ago and they are exactly the same. The main reason that the brand name ones are more expensive is because they need the money to cover there r + d costs.

if the ingredients are the same then there is absolutely no difference and you should get the cheapest.

.

Mainly though, it's about patent protection (or lack of).
The wiki link explains it all pretty well.

I mean if you did start to become addicted to the codeine as your tolerance increased and you started to take more pills to match this you would Od on the paracetamol well before you reached any kind of proper addiction level.
Which you'd only really get from perscripton grade stuff.
