Cops with hand camera's

Think i got caught speeding by a cop with a hand laser gun (38 in a 30) but if he has'nt got in his car and manually given me a ticket have a i got away with it?
 
Nope. the camera captured your reg plate.

depends if the hand gun was only laser? or had a camera as well. i got done with a laser only one and that was because he stopped me there and then!

AFAIK (and i'm probably wrong!) the LTI20:20 unit they use has a camera with a zoom lense so they can actually see your number plate to aim at in the first place.

that was the one i got caught with, i didnt think it had to see the plate. just the car then sends lots of beams to measure the speed.

again though. i maybe wrong lol

the 14 day thing ought to stand, but the car had been bought a week earlier so it could have been an issue with the previous owner not sorting the v5. ill keep you updated
 
the reg plate in the picture on the NIP which my brother has when caught by a handheld laser thing, is actually pretty clear. definately readable
 
Relieved my mind a little because if i get 3 points i'm gonna get banned as i'm on a provisional and have 3 already been good for 3 years and the first 3 run out next month.. just typical but can't complain as i was speeding.

I'm pretty sure it has a video camera, to captuer the reg of child killers and aid in aiming the laser. Imagine them sitting at the roadside trying to aim a laser using a set of iron sights :eek:
