What 10 games would you buy for gamerscore alone?

You can complete the whole game on easy, then do the last level on all the other difficulties. They made it so that the game reads the difficulty completion after the end of the game, so you just do the last mission :p.

I haven't played a game on easy in longer than I can remember - so with your logic, once I do hard I should redo in easy to bump my gamerscore - what a joke I would rather do other things

You have quoted that as fact not as opinion.

It might be pure semantics but with regaurd to what you have said in your last post the sentence should have read

"No, but they might be considered by some to matter a whole lot more than your gamerscore while you're actually alive."
Ok then, let's try the facts game then! Paring it back down to the absolute basics:

Which will help you to live longer (or in fact, at all)?
a) Eating something
b) Just gaming

Which of these is edible?
a) Steak
b) An Xbox 360

What will help you put food on the table?
a) Money
b) An uber-leet pro gamerscore

Answers on a sheet of A4 before the end of class please.

What's to "what" about it?

It's a completely uneven playing field. One game's 1000 points can and will be wildly more or less achievable than anothers. The very fact that there are rubbish/mediocre games out there that people play purely for an easy gamerscore exemplifies this. Thus, the emphasis is on grinding through simpler games, rather than simply being good at the harder ones.

Such as whinge on OcUK?

I don't play on either, I said you could play on Easy. You could do it on hard if you wanted, then replay the last level, it's not so much for gamerscore, it's for total game completion. Certain people such as yourself don't seem able to grasp such a simple concept.

Not really?
I play games to play games, I use the 1000 score as a marker for total game completion. I may have some easy 1000 points on my gamerscore thanks to a rental scheme, but I also have 1000 points on some hard games that I can guarantee the majority don't.

only had a 360 for a few weeks (shared) and got my own a few days back when gta4 came out and so far the only game i bought for a gamescore boost is fight night round 3 but then i also love the game so its a win/win.

Within your own personal sphere, yeah, that's fine, I can understand that. I've always tried my best to complete games like the GTA series to 100%, or get the best characters in various RPGs. If you enjoy the game, why not get the most out of it if you want to. But it's when people start comparing gamerscores, or trying to increase them purely for the sake of increasing them, that it gets stupid.

EDIT: Do you have to complete every game 100%? That could border on OCD. :p

I like to try, I have a bunch of games I will always go back to, Because they aren't 100%. Oblivion being one of them, But mainly didn't get the 100% because I got bored. But if I give it a while I may go back.

And as said the gamer points are a good picture of getting the most out of the game.

No, like I said, I understand that. I knew a girl who loves Oblivion to death, and was insistent on eventually getting all 1000 points from it, and the 200(?) from Shivering Isles, even though it meant her having to replay the whole game again. It didn't really have anything to do with the score, which could have been 1 or a million points each, just simply the fact there was some challenge left in the game for her to complete.

It's just the whole "Oooh looks I has 50,000 points!!" business. Jolly good, your little number means nothing, move on please.

It did in her case though. I honestly don't know enough of the game to be certain, but do you have to make a choice right near the end of Shining Isles? I think she may have done that, and then saved over any files previous to that moment.

Oblivion doesn't require you to start the whole game over to get max GP.

True, I mean certain achievements astound me, For example Lost Odyssey, 99 seeds is required to get a certain skill. And one achievement is to learn all skills. Finding the 99 seeds without a guide is nearly impossible! And I don't like using walkthroughs :(

Hidden Package quests are one of my most hated missions in any game. I never, ever look for them by myself - I just don't see the need for that level of tedium - That's what GameFAQs exists for.

Im talking bargain bin here, i wouldnt spend 400 quid on 10k gamerscore. For me as somewhat a GS whore it would be

King Kong
Lego Bionicle
Oblivion (long but straightforward)
Eragon
Avatar: BE
Fight Night Round 3
Need for speed most wanted
Condemned 1
Condemned 2
GTA4 (almost there)

Ive left out a lot of the early EA sports titles (anything 06 or 2k6) and prolly a coupla others, like disney stuff meet the robinsons or open season were easy, cars too i geuss.

What would you choose for easy GS

Looking over that i prolly shouldnt have included GTA but heck im nearly at 1k and it makes me smile :D

Trying to figure out which games to whore up next? :p there are some much easier games than those you've listed to get 1k in.
