There are a few maps where you can get sneaky kills like that, Dust2 has already been mentioned.
Don't forget that Counter-Strike in general has been around for around 10 years now, most of the Source players came from 1.6 (like myself) and have been playing it for going on 5 years now. Even saying that, I still struggle to get 2-1 kdr
Edit: Just remembered, you can get sneaky kills on Port too as there's a set of double doors near CT spawn, providing they run that direction.

Been playing css for about 3 years, only ever seen about 4 or 5 actual cheaters on servers. Just play till you improve, or leave it, simple really.
Counter Strike Source (and it's predecessor) can be particularly frustrating, because once you die, you have wait until the end of the round (anywhere between 1-5 minutes) until you can play again. This also gives people plenty of time to accuse their killer of being a "hacker" and generally badmouth them. This is why the CS community has by far the worst reputation of any online game in existence.
To the untrained eye, some CS players can seem like they're hacking, but in reality they're just very good at the game. You could almost play some maps blindfolded, the trick is to listen to where the opposing players are and guess where they're going to move, then act on it. It's a skill acquired through hours of wasted life.

It's not a skill! I mean that as soon as the game/round started I was dead on the ground before I could even take one step. It had nothing to do with so called "Über l33t" gameplay at all, the round starts and I dropped dead.
as in under 5 seconds?
Then i'd say thats weird try a different server, the fireon(or whatever it is office one is a good un, and did you die in a lightning effect?

Ive banned at least 5 from our servers alone since christmas. And i dont even play much!
If you play on a SteamBans protected server you are less likely to find cheaters in them.
No our troops do not dive for cover they just stand there bolt upright and wait to die.

I have to agree with the OP on this. Having played CS:S for a few hours on several different servers, I've came to the conclusion that I would have more fun poking my eyes out with a spoon than I do playing CS:S.

If you die instantly did anything go wrong in the last round? some servers have admin mods that could kill you at the start of the round for team killing in the previous round.. that or one of your own teammates shot you in the head at the very start of the round
cs is probably the best fps i have ever played... i have gotten bored of it a number of times, but am currently considering having another play of it for old times sake

No but they can dive left and right, in cs:s you can't even lie down.
no thats called recoil the recoil in css doesn't mean your cross hairs move just that the bullets arn't hitting your ch, stand a bit away from a wall and spray, look at the pattern.
If you’re getting killed that quick then either there is some very dodgy haxx going on or maybe you’re playing on a death match server and got very unlucky.
Either way, if you wanna give the game another try just find a decent server to play on. Unfortunately you are always going to get some people cheating in this game, but I come across very few. I’d say its worth persevering, it really is a very good game when you get into it, and stay alive a bit longer.

any map with a clear line of sight to the enemy spawn points will give you the chance to get a kill at the start of the round. just because you cant see them, doesnt mean they cant see you. best thing to do on those maps is have the crouch key held for when the round starts

if you just started to play go in smaller publics like 20 ~24 man as when u die you will not need to wait so long dont go to those crazy 40 ~ 54 man servers.
Ps. there is some spots that u can be in and the enemy will come out and it will not see you but you see him.
for example sandbag in dust 2 long when u coming out u can see just enemys leg but he can see u fully.

@ OP : Day of Defeat Source is a much better game , but until you get used to the maps and weapons (like any game tbh) it will be fustrating, but ultimately rewarding once you know the ropes
