Race Driver Grid Demo available (Xbox360)

Does it have a message saying 'demo based on 70% complete code, does not reflect the full version' like most of their demos? :p Even though in every case without fail, the finished game is identical to the demo :D
 
so does this playw ell on a 360 controller? I am due to buy one for my PC and throw the PSX one in the bin :p
 
Its the sort of racer I like, forza was too boring, im not bothered about the unrealistic handling, this is going to be a pick up and blast game to play online and with your mates.

My pre-order has gone in :)

Agreed 100%. Good fun, intense and a laugh online...like the Gotham series.
 
I liked the drift bit a lot. Then I tried an actual race and oh dear..... :o

For a second I thought I was playing the superb TOCA Touring series and then I turned a corner...
 
Played it graphics very nice aswell as damage especially loved when door was flapping off in interior view.

But then it comes to handling this game reeks of arcade but not done very well certainly not as enjoyable a PGR by long shot. You might aswell not have a brake in this game because your just glued to track constantly no weight to car the BMW racing is poor the car loses control for no real reason had to restart so many times. Coupled with the fact the steering is ridiculously twitchy its such a shame because everywhere else is so good.

However i did race the Mustang and quite enjoyed that overlooking the flaws i dont know wont be purchase for me.

Yeah the handling is odd but there is definitely a feeling of weight to the cars and as for being glued to the track I'd disagree with that as well, or maybe I'm just crap :p

i do agree with bingham, after plying gt5 and getting used to sim racing this was quite a shock, i found myself braking for every corner but after a few restarts i thought 'sod this, might aswel go on a silly billy run' and found myself flying round corners perfectly at silly speeds! Also i had quite a few random spin outs, i would be going round a corner at a slow speed then just completely spin out!

I feel though once you get used to handling this could be quite fun...

I think the complete opposite, it suffers from the same problem as Dirt in that there is hardly any feeling to the cars, especially when braking.

Handling is very odd, and I wouldn't even call it arcadey, just poor :/

Graphics are nice (nothing more) but overall after the first play I'm very disappointed. The gravel traps are extremely annoying also, are they sheet ice or something?! Slightest hint of a tyre on there and it's an instant spin.

Couldn't of put it better my self. The turnin is of, it feels like you are driving a london taxi.

The breaking feels like you've just attached a **** load of glue to your front, as they stop on a six pence, without any feel for them locking up, skidding, or feel of speed. Really disappointed with the breaking on this game (BMW 320i first race type).

Will try the other modes, but it's a rental for me at the moment.

The game though is perfect in terms of visability and stuff, it runs like silk. That's a big plus.
 
Very average game imo

Graphics are nice, nothing exceptional. The way the cars handle is awful - turn on a pivot, not good at all.

Online is fun though
 
Not impressed really. The handling is poor and i agree with Kreeeee that it is actually worse than Dirt. Looks exactly like Dirt, which is not a bad thing. Just pointing it out. :D
