Football *Spoilers* 11th May

Last day of the season, United in pole position. Did anyone really expect anything other than a load of jokers who support other less successful teams coming in here talking crap?

Yeah we expected bennett to bottle it and have a poor game as per usual, everytime he has refereed a match here at Middlesbrough he has been dreadful, he has to be the worst referee in the premiership.

Wigan must feel hard done by, there playing pretty well and certaintly not lying down for United but 12 vs 11 makes it too hard, bennet in big game bottler shock!

Hopefully Fulham to go down. Anyone else think Friedel was bought by Birmingham, awful keeping :D

Glad to see Terry out, hate that man.

They were both certain penalties. Ferdinand handled it and Rooney was hacked down. Rooneys was also a goal scoring opportunity so the Wigan player should have been off the same as Scholes.

I still maintain that Ferdinand is a 50/50 call, I've only seen the shot that Slogan has posted in this thread... but if that picture is correct it's hit him top of the arm almost at his shoulder.

Those will always be some refs will give it some refs wont.

I'm not getting into the Scholes situation, he was a pleb and by the sounds of it really shouldn't be on the field.

The thing is when Bennet usually ref's a Utd game he is so bias against us it's untrue. Yet it falls on deaf ears

Sheva on at the bridge for Makelele

I'm not being funny, but those sort of calls (top of the arm/shoulder) go for and against each week.

If the player isn't leaning into it, I agree. He's leaning into the ball and it's hit his arm.

It's not like he didn't have time to pull it away, which combined with the leaning is where I think it was a wrong decision.

I hope you break your arm, and experience excruciating pain. I'll be glad.

I just think Bennet is normally pretty poor.

Not saying he's as bad as Uriah Rennie or anything, but he's doesn't normally get important decisions right.
