Why can't you buy bacon with the Rind on any more? I used to love it when I was a kid.

Don't agree with the greasy bit, but get yourself some bacon from Abel & Cole. Thickest, juiciest, greatest bacon in the world.

They don't deliver to Plymouth

I like both, thin crispy for burgers or butties, and thick rashers for fry-ups or whatever. Hate biting a bacon butty and having a big string of fat pull the whole rasher out when I move it away from my face.

Have a look in your local butcher, they might have some with rind on there.

Budgens thick smoked back bacon is my favourite at the moment, and handy as there is a Budgens within walking distance.

Beansprout have you tried the bacon from either the butchers on mutley plain or ebringdon street (the elemental tattoo end) as they often get different types varying in thickness, breed, smoking and flavours etc- might be worth chatting to the butcher in there (both friendly) about it and see what they suggest.

Ebringdon str. chap is always very helpful to me and the opposite of a ripoff- often suggests slightly different options to buy in order to save me money depending upon the meal im making etc

Sainsburys sell Oscar Meyer bacon which is american, and its the only bacon i buy ^^


(strangely i think its made in Ireland though, nvm, it tastes great and has that very crispy feel to it.)

Removing the fat from the bacon makes it crispy. But it's obviously not going to be fat free.
