And if your auntie had baws he would be your uncle. Zenit arent at the end of their season, if Rangers got past teams like Partick Thistle without needing replays, or without requesting games against Gretna to be postponed, or their own pitch flooding, its no fiasco.

Reality check? If Rangers cant get past partick (who could have quite easily nicked it), and by your rational that having days off is an advantage (queens havent played in over a month by the time of the final), with the fixtures Rangers have there is no doubt Queens have a very good chance of beating Rangers.

It would be great if they did.

Wow we have a Celtic fan. Tell you what, if QotS win in the final I will openly take back what I say.

If Rangers didn't have games against Celtic postponed due to the death of Phil 'O Donnel. If St Mirren had a pitch with decent underfloor heating... etc etc.

Poor performance tonight, the team just didn't play well. We screwed up the basics, too many times we played ourselves into trouble. Think we just ran out of players and steam at the wrong time.

Ah well, its been a great journey. To get to the final and be in the running for four trophies after the Le Guen chaos is simply amazing :).

btw, I think someones trolling in this thread, don't feed him ;).

I'm very disappointed but not disheartened. I feel that Rangers were not outclassed as many predicted would happen; one defensive lapse cost Rangers a goal and a few decent opportunities were not taken. The second goal was inconsequential as Rangers, quite rightly so, put all their eggs in one basket and for that, I admire them. For those reasons the better team on the night did win.

Rangers can still feel proud of their achievement, however. I hope they take the positives forward for Europe next year. Also, fingers crossed and eyes peeled for the Scottish Cup and a good run in for the League title :)

ahhh well we will strengthen next season
a 15mil team against a 50mil team, considering the difference we did alright to get to a uefa cup final, ahh well the trip was nice.

Thats not been the case for most of the Rangers campaign but yeah you're right, the result is probbly about right.

Indeed. I was going to add that if their run to the final proved anything then it was that the best team doesn't always win. That's not at all meant as a jibe at Rangers.

Im not a Celtic fan, what gave you that idea?

What has St Mirrens undersoil heating got to do with Rangers having a match postponed?

Shall I remind you that that match was called off because there was 60mph winds and a foot of rain came down within the space of an hour. Rangers had a game called off the week after for the same reason, a waterlogged pitch.

Rangers didnt have to agree to the Phil ODonnell postponement.

Its almost comical that the excuses are coming out already though, the only excuse should be "they were a better team".

Running battles with riot police in the streets of Manchester because a big tv didn't work, tv engineer got pelted with bottles!

3 shots on goal in 5 hours of European football

Scotland's shame. On and off the park.

I can assure you that this isn't a case of sour grapes, but where did you get that statistic from?

Your first point is embarrassing, I hope any frustration driven trouble gets diluted quickly.

Wasn't the WC 06 England games in Manchester shut down because of the very same thing, drinking all day and it kicking off.

Manchester city centre never learns.

This screen was not shut down. It broke just as the match kicked off. There had been no sign of trouble all day. It was only a relatively small number of so called fans who decided to start throwing things whilst the vast majority tried to get away and find somewhere else to watch the game. Unfortunately the moronic minority will grab the headlines and tarnish what should have been a great day regardless of the result of the match.
