What hair gel?

I know you said about VO5 but i found this to be the only solution for my thick, hard to control hair.
(i still go for the scruffy look, but its really good, holds the hair yet never sets and you can restyle and adjust the whole time, works with every hair length. Small tin, yet lastas months, a tiny bit covers the entire head, its incredible.
Yes do this one, ive used matt stuff, its not as holding as this stuff, and this stuff lasts longer. Matt is like a mixture of this with water/wetlook hair gel. LOL
P.S After reading...yes, i do like the word 'stuff' its late night and ive just done last minute revision.

lookfantastic do have it on BOGOF at the moment, well worth buying as it is much much cheaper than in the salons,

Im being deadly serious. Most of the stuff you are all linking is practically the same thing and you're paying for a brandname, some of my mates buy expensive stuff and iv used it, exactly the same/if not worse than what i use.
I usually go for Dax wax, or Brylcream strongwax, atm im using shockwaves gunk in a tub of some sort.. all from poundshop/home bargain, cheap cheap cheap.
iv also got some fructis hairspray from when I had longer hair, that was spot on.
Fructis gunky stuff is good too, just i wont buy it unless its on offer

Ok so due to my hair being long for the last 4 years and me getting sick of it and getting it cut, i havnt had to use hair gel at all. now i used to use some sort of extra strong brylcream cant remember what exactly it was.
now my hair is still a decent length, bout 2 inches, and i was wondering whats the best gel (or wax, never used it) for getting a really scruffy look?
looked at fudge hair gum and some vo5 stuff but cant find any that say scruffy/untidy, so has anyone got recommendations?
I use Fructis Surf Hair. Great stuff. Just rub into your hair vigorously et voila. Instant messed up look. Perfect stuff. It's got a matt effect too.
