Students...all ****ers?

Fox, I see you didn't read my earlier post which was in answer to your question. As I've said you can jump to any assumptions about me you like, but this thread was meant as a way to find the general opinion. I may currently be working towards a degree whilst I work part time, and I may not. I may be unemployed and have never attended a university. I may have a degree (or even more than one) and of course I may not.

The point is this thread was never supposed to be about 'me', it was supposed to be about the stereotype. But since people are failing to see this.

Of course this post will be deconstructed and flamed just like the others, but I guess there's not anything I can do about that. So on that note This will be my last post in this thread as I feel it has ran it's course and is now just going around in circles whilst slowly descending into petty bickering.

You seemed pretty keen to promote and prove your one sided view of students in what you call a 'discussion'. As I have stated, unless you have a degree and have had the experience your opinion means nothing.

And reading your op, this thread started as a "discuss if you agree with my incredibly negative steriotype of student scum", yet you appear to not understand that 'Discuss' involves both sides. I guarantee any student who has sat an exam knows the true meaning of Discuss...

I'm not middle age and I certainly don't have a dead end job but I don't give a toot what Nestle do. IMO, up the study requirements so students have less time to waste on BS they wont give a damn about 2 days later.

not ignorance I know what they do The whole milk thing etc, but really i just don't give a ****.

Also i don't care about fair trade apple juice i just want cheaper apple juice.

So if you dont give a **** its wrong for anyone else to? Wow, thats sounds fair and just and really well thought out, well done!

Surely it's more fair to offer the product and if you don;t want it don;t buy it, rather than just stop everyone from buying it?

making it about me is missing the point.

You are quite happy to make it about us - you should be prepared to accept the reverse. Only us students have defied your stereotype and not been QUITE as rude and abusive to you desk-jockeys. Well except for just then of course ;)

I may currently be working towards a degree whilst I work part time, and I may not. I may be unemployed and have never attended a university. I may have a degree (or even more than one) and of course I may not.

The point is it doesn't make any difference

Of course it does - it provides valuable context to your opinions and helps us understand if we should discard them or not.

Yes, in a perfect economy where every consumer is perfectly educated regarding all factors relating to their purchase and the proccesses and ethical issues associated with it, but this doesnt exist.

Sorry, is that to technical for you, only my degree has taught me to think in this way.

Don't be such a turd. If we were to ban all things unethical you would be living in a cave eating eating bugs. When was the last time you donated all your expendable money to a good cause and went without eating properly so people in poor countries could get a decent meal? Take off your keyboard warrior jacket and sit down.

In response to your (quite frankly, idiotic) post I will just say one thing. I don't donate all my money so that people in other countries can eat, however I don't splurge my money unnecessarily and I do live within my means. I don't have to starve so 'they' can eat, and in a just world neither should they so I can. I'm not so sure what your 'keyboard warrior' comment was about - maybe you are actually quite ashamed of your ignorance and result to petty insults? I don't know, but I hope you enjoy the bubble in which you reside.

Mind = Blown.

Nail. Head. - but we have to fight the power man!

There have been numerous other brain dead ideas, recently so was the banning of Armed Forces running recruitment days at the UCL. What a joke that was.

I understand your guys arguements but my experience has proven to me that most of these "events" are organised to gain the representatives points/merit/power in the union. It always looked to me that their petitions were for personal gain rather than actually achieving a solution to an apparent problem.

the reason for the ban is on a poster above the till, thats all the education every student who's not allowed to buy it gets so surely that should be enough stick that there say nestle does this, if you want to buy their stuff go ahead if you don't, don't.

You'll find many people just don't care what happens in Africa.

Im going to go into my Uni tomorrow and setup a stall recruiting Muslim Terrorists to join a suicide plot to destroy key economic structures around the UK.

I dont care if you think its wrong, all the information will be on display, you cant ban me, people should just be able to make their own mind up.

Not to mention highly unethical and against many morals... just like Nestle! But under your arguments as long as all information is presented then I should be able to carry on without any interuption with the consumer making the decision.

To cut the long thread short, you're offended by the opinion that the majority of the nation has of students.

Oh, zing! You totally got me!

You're pretty rubbish at this whole debate/discussion thing. Perhaps if you'd gone to Uni you would be better. Instead of reading what's actually there, you just reply with what you want - perhaps your 'real world' ignorance is spilling over into your internet persona. Who knows?

Of course, when something happens to you, you will be the first to demand attention and help off the state. Just ignore the issues until they have personal relevance, eh?

No one is illegal, one is not.

As far as I'm aware nestle has not been outlawed in britain.

Ok, so if I removed the plan to blow up buildings and just promoted my Muslim Terrorist Recrutement Camp would you be happy for me to setup shop outside your house?

ZING! You got me too, I didnt spend 4 years at the University of Sheffield either  I wasn't a student, and I didn't dislike a majority of them either. My world is just as real/unreal as yours fella.

PS - dont talk to me about the state - HAHAH

BINGO! We have a student. Congratulations sir, your opinion is valid. Surely with your degree you understand this is your own opinion, unique to you, and its perfectly acceptable for people to dissagree with you, yeah?

Absolutely, and I am fully aware my opinion shall offend others... it is JUST my opinion, WTF do you care? :D

Terrorist camp doesn't really sound legal either. also as you're only recruiting Muslims I'm pretty sure this comes under discrimination in the work place.

And why have you now strayed to the point of it being out side my house, remember you're trying to argue that people shouldn't be allowed the choice to buy nestle, products. Not their choice to have a nestle plant outside your house.

I can't really see how your new scenario relates to me being able o buy nestle chocolate, and someone else the right to choose not to.

So are you saying tesco's is the equivalent to a mulsim terrorist recruitment center now?

They sell nestle.
