I dont think united did too bad out of Becks leaving, he was getting ever slower, and you had a young kid waiting in the wings called Ronaldohell even now you've got Nani, who aint half bad on his day.
The trouble would be recovering the number of goals ronaldo has scored in the last two years for united. Replacing a winger wouldn't be too hard. Recovering those goals would be a major re-shuffle/style of the team. The current strikers can't score those goals added together.
I went through this with my mate, Ronaldo scored the only goals in roughly 11 games this season and there are numerous games where ronaldo was the first scorer as well. Losing Ronaldo would be a huge blow to united i think.

All i can say if Real can lure Figo from Barca then they can get any1. Its all about Dosh and i do not think that ronaldo has forgoten about how he was treated after the world cup. He will go i think and then get injured.
As much as I think Ronaldo is an awesome footballer it seems inevitable that he will leave soon.
He just doesn't seem to have that same passion or loyalty as a lot of the other United players. Take Rooney & Tevez for example, I can't Imagine either of them ever wanting to leave. They just seem to love the club, the fans and winning trophies as a team.
Its not everyday a club like real come after you

I've heard Silva is the top target for us at the moment, but Benitez is waiting to find out how much he'll have. Really doubt we're in for Malouda
David Silva from Valencia. He's the player i want us to sign more than any other, a real prospect.
