You can't really read too much into the rankings, as it is highly dependent on the amount of time you play. It is also highly dependent on the type of games you are playing; if you are playing on booster "lol maps" servers, then you will gain many more points than playing on servers that actually need skill, where the better players tend to come out ahead.Anyone know someone that's in the top 10 in the world? Or even top 100 for that matter!
Edit: If you like it, it's well worth spending a fiver on the full game, Trackmania United. If you're quick you should still be able to pick it up for a fiver from a couple of online shops. Don't bother paying £25/30 for the Forever version though, you can patch up to that. You get a lot more game for that £5, one of the big bargains at the moment, imo.
Can someone please explain how it's possible to get the game for £5?
Is it totally equivalent to buying the $40 from steam?

thanks, that sounds like an absolute bargain!
The same place are selling TMUF for £17.99 lol
Totally can't find this for a fiver... I fail...![]()
OK, to get the game for a fiver what you need to do is buy Trackmania United from a well known high street store (competitor so can't mention which one it is, but there's not many to choose from).
ok is there any where to get cars and such which you dont have to use copper for?
only just go the full game, so only have 50copper at the moment?
How do you earn more and such?
i got 800+ now just from loggin in every day, and doing "official mode"
i couldnt work out how to get "official mode" for ages!!! lol
u need to goto solo, lets say Nations, then race or platform , do a trail race, till u think youve mastered it, then hit esc, click on official mode,
5 coppers for bronze
10 for silver
15 for gold
20 if u exceed the one u cant see (ive done this and u get an extra medal!)
Are these coppers essential to do well? or just for buying cosmetic stuff?
Are the "cars" just models, like you can get from TMcarpark? or are they faster?
Finally got round to playing this online tonight. So far so good. But I have a question for the TM experts.
I was on a server which was running basically the short tracks from the single player mode, and there were 28 people playing at a time. At the start, all 28"shadow" cars were in view within seconds, meaning i could not see my car or where i was going. On the longer tracks, things got spread out, but on the shorter tracks, this made it unplayable at times. In the options, I have selected the "hide too close" option, but it does not seem to make a difference. Is this just how it is, or am I missing something simple. I have TM United (Forever now), and the manual does not really help as regards the options. Any ideas?
You need to adjust how close they become before they vanish.
