Proof of grades

no it wouldn't if you can do the maths, just sign up for the next exam, if you can't do maths then if you lie it will come out soon enough anyway therefore do it.

you also say its the thing keeping you back from the good jobs, i don't know many "top" jobs that just require several gcse's

All my certificates are in my file folder locking cabinet thing.

Never been asked to see them, I don't think GCSE and even A level grades matter to an employer when you have/are doing a degree, my grades suck and I still got as far as an assessment centre for BAE SYSTEMS.

I never thought gcses actually counted that much for for employers, i thought they were purely so you could advance to college.
Then college matters very little, it's degree's and experience that matter.

Thats the way I see it.

I was 1 mark off a B for my AS Maths...would it be ok to change it from a C to a B on my CV? :p :(

Trigonometry IS simple maths.

i wouldn't say that, it's all equations and stuff.
Complex to me, I got a B at gcse and anything which isn't plain and simple maths anyone can understand + - / *. I am rubbish at it. I don't understand how equations work which is why I am rubbish with them.
like why does half of one side of a triangle * another = suface area. Or whatever it is. I haven't a clue really.

When I was looking for work last year one company wanted to know my grades from my final years of school. This seemed bizarre, since I left school 10 years ago, and under a completely different system (ie, Tasmania, Australia).

Just change your name by deed poll to someone who passed all their exams, and then contact the exam boards to request duplicates of your certificates. ;)
