Don't you think that having an entire second XI on the bench is a bit excessive? I think there is something to be said for the tactical choices that are required in not having the ability for a direct replacement for every position on the pitch. Also if it wasn't for that you are less likely to see the sometimes comedy efforts of outfield players in goal.
 
As a neutral, I've voted for one of the last two options - I won't say which.

Looking forward to watching the match. Just hope it doesn't go to penalties. Hope all the true fans of the two teams enjoy it.
 
Got a feeling that fate is on our side hence my air confidence going into the match.... will be bricking it come kick off though :p

Don't they do it in the world cup? Or am I imagining that? Too much work not enough sleep can't really remember if it happened or not. Maybe it was a dream. Anyway back to the work trying to finish it all in time for the match!

There will still be 5 in midfield - so its not an issue - but when we are attacking Ronny and Rooney have the licence (or orders :D) to attack

In defensive plays they run back to make the 5 - I dont see why Chelsea would murder us at all to be honest

(Im not saying your choice wouldnt work, or wont be chosen - if it was Giggs on the wing then yes we would be murdered in midfield)
 
I could barely watch the Barca match. My heart nearly popped out.

I hope he doesn't pick Giggs. Yes he has been amazing for the club - but he just hasn't got it any more.
 
The city has special 'drink police' who travel around with mobile cells, looking for drunks, and if those cells are full, offenders risk being taken to 'sobering houses'.

Igor Konovalov, the head of Moscow's public safety department, told the Daily Mail that fans would feel the full force of the law if they were seen drunk in public.

"If our laws are violated, we'll take the measures that are allowed by our law with no exceptions," he said.

"If fans are drunk, don't you worry, we'll make them sober. They must know they must not come to the game drunk, or indeed to the city."

I was offered a ticket last night by my brother, how on earth he thinks I would be able to get there at a days notice is beyond me. He and two of his mates are going and its costing them over a grand each travelling with the club.

Now hes talking of trying to sell it outside the ground and im trying to explain to him that the russian police might not be to keen on that idea.

I cant help thinking that this is going to be a nightmare no matter who wins, I know my brothers pretty level headed and will behave and hes asked all the right questions about travelling, I just feel the russian police could make the italians look level headed and calm. Infact my brothers daughter and my mum have both asked me to try and persuade him not to go.......

Half of me is worried about him going, half of me is as jealous as hell its not me.
Strange thing football.
