Best modern RTS games

I play single player and would have to say Company of Heroes (and the expansion)
although World in Conflict was pretty good too, but no base/economy management and not a huge fan of that camera angle :(


- dissapointed by C&C Tiberium and Kane (anyway not a fan of that series I liked Generals and Red Alert more => looking forward to Red Alert 3)
- disliked Supreme Commander with a passion (most overhyped RTS ever) Flamesuit on :cool:

Dawn of War up to Dark Crusade (Soulstorm is just a huge waste of space and expectation :( ) and Company of Heroes & expansion.

Just couldn't get into Supreme Commander, I just found it unengaging and overly convoluted (Believe me I tried to like it but just couldn't :( )
 
regardless of what sort of drugs hes taking, hes right, supreme commander IS the best modern RTS, just look at it in an objective way and it beats all the other stuff floating around by miles, especially C&C3 which is about as engaging as a game of snap

not trying to convince you of anything, let's just agree to disagree

but we agree C&C3 wasn't anything special :)

Sorry to sound like a bitchy pedantic ass, but I'm not sure you can look at games in an objective way. they are to do with taste and therefore inherently subjective. Personally, SupCom doesn't appeal to me. I prefer WiC.
 
CoH for me. I cant think of anything better out there.

Only thing to add is my friend prefers Dawn of War, from the same devolopers, as it has lasers :p
