Neutral hoping Utd win.

For no other particular reason than Avram Grant just comes across as a complete ****

Neutral hoping Utd win also.

Kudos to the chap @ Asda Wolstanton shelf stacking (in Newcastle Staffs) who told me this morning that he was finishing his shift today, getting on a plane & going to the match tonight - Cost? £1500! - I'm in the wrong job it seems! :D

I hope its worth it to him! :)

It says a lot about Utd's fans when Chelsea can sell their allocation of tickets and they can't :p ;)

The preview last night said both sides had not sold all their tickets (not to mention Abramovich buying everyone at CFC member of staff a ticket, and 500 for the locals)

I think the pitch will have a bearing on the game, Utd like to pass the ball around on the deck and from what I have seen the pitch has more bobbles than a 20yr old duffle coat;)

It may make the game a bit more exciting. Quite why they didn't leave the plaggy pitch down I don't know, it was good enough to play a Euro qualifier on according to UEFA.
When I went over in October for the England game they watered the pitch pretty heftily prior to kick off.

I'm a neutral fan but would like to see Utd win it. In my eyes they have played the best football this season and I would like to see Scholes get his medal.

That was an artifical pitch though wasn't it? Its forecasted for rain according to my iPod so hope they don't water it too much!
Yes. (fullspizz does mention this in his post).

I wouldn't be surprised if a grass pitch was a requirement for hosting a CL final, infact I think I'd expect it to be a requirement.

And where have all these extra Man U fans come from? 85 so far in the poll, 27 in the who do you support thread.

Woke up about an hour ago, turned on Sky Sports News, loads of CL Final build up. Has made me more nervous and excited than the Dumball Rally I am going on tomorrow.

Looked like an attrocious tackle by Mak (both from the preview last night and the pics in the paper) - but Cole will play undoubtedly

Really dont understand why Vidic didnt train yesterday - he was fit enough for the last game of the season but couldnt train 9 days later!!

Saying that - Brown and Rio did pretty well against Barca, so I wouldnt be too concerned if Vidic didnt make it (although I would prefer him being there even if only 95% fit)

Think OH is a better all round RB than Brown, but on the other hand he may well be needed in the heart of the midfield tonight (his tackling is much better than Carrick, Scholes or Fletcher, and I cant see Anderson starting- even though he possibly deserves to on merit)

He did train - he trained away from the group (Ferguson said that he was on a different training programme).
