A lot of that is meaningless. Everybody could see that Utd were the better side by far in the first half, Chelsea were by far the better side in the 2nd and there wasn't a great deal in it in ET.

A very good even game.

Stats can be very deceptive. Imo Utd were far better in the first half, Chelsea were far better in the second half and ET was pretty even.

In terms of clear cut chances I think it was about 50/50.

Conclusion: ?

Well I really don't like Mr man's man, the lion heart, plays through the pain but lets everyone who will listen know about it John Terry but can't help but feel for the guy, that was really cruel.
Still, I am unsure how anyone could call him a "top guy" given what he's done..
But anyway! Was a great game.
We dominated 1st half, them the 2nd. In that respect it was 45 minutes each. However, their goal was really rather lucky and I think we created the better chances and played the best pieces of football.
Onto the Extra time and it was more even but again, I'd say we edged it (but ofc i am biased :p)
All in all it was an epic game. Neither team really deserved to lose.

To be fair I'm pretty sure that was outside of the box, add to that that Joe Cole kept the ball and the ref played on... fair chance really.

Wouldn't have complained if Joe had carried on and got it in the back of the net, you'd be moaning that he DID stop play then :p

I have no sympathy for Chelsea whatsoever, the way they conduct themselves towards match officials is shocking
 
How many times is that sign going to be posted do you think? :D

I thought United were marginally better, in the first half we were miles better, in the second, Chelsea played far better than they had done, but United defended well, and kept them to long shots for most of the game, as is shown by the shots/on target numbers. We had just as many, if not more proper, genuine, close chances.
