The Chelsea players were disgraceful last night!

Harrassing the referee and getting in his face at every opportunity. Joe Cole ran around 13k, but I bet around 8k of that was chasing the ref! (lol)

Chelsea should have the book thrown at them, especially as its not the first time that they have been pulled up about this sort of behaviour.

Having said all that, as a Liverpool supporter, the lesser of the two evils won last night. Will be interesting to see which Chelsea players stay now and even if Abramovich stays, especially as he surely now realises that he cant buy the Champions League.

Congratulations Man Utd!

Oh for the love of God make it stop!!!

1. Utd are just as bad at surrounding the ref, in fact most teams do it, so why the hell do Chelsea always get stick for it?
2. Why the hell would Abramovich leave? Seriously?

You know, I was going to carry on but I am so bored of people making the same points that they have been for the last 4 years.

Great night, great game, great hangover, just popping on to say concrats to both teams and fans, you made a great night of football. I want a english club in every CL final from now on.

John Terry was known as Mr Chelsea, He is now known as Mr Penalty

I dont recall the Utd players barracking and harassing the ref that much last night, certainly no way near as much as the Chelsea players. Chelsea get stick for it because it never involves just 1 or 2 players. They were attacking the ref in large numbers last night....it was awful behaviour and certainly not needed!

Abramovich is going to get bored, he thought he could come into the world of football and buy a world beating team. He has thrown hundred(s) of millions of pounds into the club to try and achieve immediate success and it isnt working!

Has anyon got a .gif of Joe Cole running at the ref while pattiing and stroking his head like it was on fire after the linesman gave a goal kick instead of a corner, which he clearly shoiuld have got lol :p

lol that was so funny!

i will next time, but my point still stands, if gerrard and alonso were good enough they'd be in the final, they werent.

So your saying players like Fabregas, Messi, Ronaldinho, Eto'o are simply not good enough to be in the final?

That calibre of player would easily make it into any side.

Two things get you to the final, a good squad, and a result on that day.

If your entire squad isn't up to the level, whether you have Ronaldo's, Tevez, Rooney's, Gerrards, Xabi Alsono's, Torres, Terry's, Drogba's, Lampard's, Messi's etc...etc... you wont get that far.

If you don't pull out a result on that day, you won't go through. The level of played in the Champions League has shown that if your at that level where your a top European side it's such an even playing field that any one side can slip up and miss their chance.

Liverpool, AC Milan, Inter, Man United, Chelsea and Barcelona have all had their fair share of scrapes and games where they've just shaded a victory and we've all had our fair share of disappointing results in Europe.

What an incredible game!!

At half time it was unbelievable that Man U weren't at least 2-0 up. The goal for Chelsea was fortunate to say the least, but it certainly seemed to give them a big lift for the 2nd half, which was almost the polar opposite of the 1st.

Each team had chances, even when the other team had been dominating.

Extra time was as you'd expect, with both team playing slightly more cautiously. Although certainly not the non-event that most periods of extra time turn into.

The red card was deserved imo, and possibly resulted in Drogba not taking what may have been a (the) vital penalty.

Sitting watching the penalties, it's a total narrow line between success and failure. But I did comment on the 3 misses before they were taken, and got them spot on. Ronaldo's stop/start runup works in the lower pressure games, where he usually gets to see the keeper move and then places it to the other side. But in these high pressure games it doesn't work, because you can't afford to be thinking about it in that detail. Terry's penalty was really unfortunate, and even though I don't like the guy I did feel sorry for him. The pressure on that particular kick must have been something else. And then when Giggs stepped up, I just turned to my GF and said, if he scores, then VDS might save the next one and when I saw it was Anelka I just said, yeah this is definately getting saved.

A fantastic game of football, that really didn't deserve to have a loser. Pure entertainment!

United are in no way as bad as Chelsea, maybe 10 years ago, but certainly not these days.

I would say that Chelsea do it on a more regular basis than us. But we're just as bad as anyone in the league (read: world) when something doesn't go our way.

LOL i'd love to see that, couldn't stop laughing at the replay :p

I don't usually have a problem with J.Cole as off the pitch he's a nice guy, but last night he was a complete *****.

Yeah just read. In the near (not immediate) future :(

Should be driving past my apartment though :D

Best not be when I'm away :p

I just can't believe how lucky Man UTD are. :(

I'm sure Ferguson must do black magic Chelsea had it on a plate and Ronaldo was about to start crying like a baby, then Terry slips talk about a miracle. :p

Yes there are some fantastic midfielders around and I would certainly take Essien, Gerrard, Fabregas... you're getting ridiculous naming Flamini and Hleb to be fair, Barry isn't in the class of any of our midfielders, Alonso massively overrated. But the stats don't lie, over a season our midfield has been fantastic and our standout midfielders have been Anderson and Carrick.

Scholes, Giggs, Ronaldo got in PFA team of the year last season, only Ronaldo this season. For me the midfield has taken a step backwards due to age. Players don't rate Carrick that highly, most non UTD fans don't and i don't remember seeing him in any team of the season. Saying that Flamini/Hleb don't compare to the UTD midfield suggest that you don't watch other teams too much. I also forgot Joe Cole for the left side of midfield. Of course the UTD midfield it is good but it's weaker than a few years ago when Giggs, Keane and Scholes were in their prime.

Drogba can't actually catch the ref to harrass him as he is already on the floor holding the opposite body part to where he got hit. Have to laugh at the slap though, girlie slap against a true hardman, who is probably wanted for war crimes, thank god terry held him back :D

I have to say that chealea were constantly going at the ref. Utd players were guilty of it as well, but chelsea just took the mick. O and who the hell put that high over the ball challenge in on ronaldo, makalele, essien ? Dirty **** should have got a red for that.

AMAZING - nothing else to say. Apart from a very very sore head this morning - i can see a very un-productive day ahead!!!

Still not seen Terry's penalty as i was covering my eyes as i couldn't watch it.

Thought my Dad was going to have a heart attack with all the drama!!!

Great season, great game and credit to Chelsea for a superb display in the 2nd half.
