£££ Rockband- Unofficial thread £££

The guitar is hugely dissapointing. I'm not great at GH3 (one song off hard completion) and about 2/3rds of expert, but this is easy peasy. Just did Run To The Hills on expert and got 4 stars on my first try!

Hopefully the drums will save it.

Sorry for possibly being a bit thick, but what are is the pedal for as I have only seen them use 4 colours on youtube. Is it like stumming on the guitar?

I'm guessing its just so when mates come round that barely play these games they can join in without having too much practice. Note that its far harder to hear missed notes as well, so i'm guessing it's so when a few of you are playing mess up's aren't so noticable or ruin the sound.

I keep trying to remind myself I bought this for the drums anyway, but it's a tad dissapointing.

I also now wish GH stays just a GH game and if they want to do a drum game have one seperate?

Orange line across the board = pedal kick.

Ah right, thanks mate. :)

My game got dispatched today. Could have had the full thing on Monday but the they have done a separate version for Germany(language wise) so I never bothered. There was a couple of guys in Rock Band t-shirts playing the game as well. I was very jealous.

Thing is, the drums on expert on genuinely hard songs look absolutely mental. If you go on youtube and look for Tom Sawyer, Won't Get Fooled Again and pretty much all the Metallica DLC on Expert drums it looks very hard, just like in real life

It seems as though they're trying to make the experience as accessible as possible for all the casual gamers, but i can't see casual gamers going and doing expert drums just like that  it seems silly they've toned down the guitar parts and made it easy but drums are solid! If the diffulculty is 'expert' then make it bloody hard!! :p

The drums are stupidly easy.

I'm a drummer too and yes I appreciate some songs like Maps (earlier in the thread) and Say It Ain't So are going to be a piece of cake, but you can't tell me the songs I mentioned earlier (Tom Sawyer, WGFA etc) on are going to be 'stupidly easy' on Expert?

It's gonna be tough to absolutly nail them.

Just spoke on the phone to someone from the cheap company again regarding the delivery of my instruments. I was annoyed because they were apparantly sent 2 days ago but ParcelForce still doesn't recognise the tracking number. The convo went something like this...

Me: Hi, I ordered an item that was sent out 2 days ago, but the tracking number isn't recognised, any ideas why?
Him: The items weren't actually sent out 2 days ago, as we've been told they can't go out yet. They'll be going out on a courier for delivery tomorrow.
Me: Erm, what items are we talking about here? (I'd not mentioned RB at all)
Him: That Rock box band thingy
Me: Guess you've had a lot of calls about that then!

He did say that unless something bad happens, like a moose running in front of the van (I should be safe, not seen a moose in Liverpool before), I'll definitely be getting the instruments tomorrow.

*cough cough* I'm feeling a sick day coming on :D

not happy about this nonsense
is it legal to lie to a customer?
i was told instruments were shipped 2 days ago and game shipped yesterday
yet when i spoke to a monkey on the phone last night the game had not been sent out yet :(

there easy, it depends what skill drummer you are dunnit? and how long ya bin playing for :)

Heya Creative

Been at work all day. Erm, came by courier. The Parcel one ;)

Really looking forward to tomorrow now, although still dont think the drums are going to fit between my bed and tv, i have about a 45cm gap :(

think the stages are better, like the fact the audiance now sing along, better character customisation, boy loves the guitar sections as he loves the double notes, wouldn't pay £150 notes for it though

Been playing kit since about 15 yrs old and now also doing rudimental drumming too for the last 3; i'm 22 next week.

I'll probably be able to nail them at some point once i've mastered them, but i don't think any song drummed by Neil Peart, Ian Paice or Lars Ulrich will be 'stupidly easy', just my 2 penneth :)
