Oh I aint quitting this game :D Just playing "here it goes again" on medium and it just works so well. Almost perfect. I dont even like half these bands or tracks but I just get right into it.

One of the issues for me is in a party I can't see anyone singing 3/4s of the tracks on the list. It needs some stuff that everyone will sing, beatles, queen etc.

I agree, my girlfriend was going to sing in band world tour but she didn't enjoy it if she didn't know the song, so we stopped playing.

On drums/guitar, you can be proud that you played a part and it sounded good even if you don't know the song but on singing its a bit odd. "See how awesome it was when I hit that long note!" I just don't see it myself.
 
Where my co-ordination falls down on medium is in areas like this....


50 seconds in when you get the line of yellows and the red's with the odd orange. I more or less nail the yellow beat then fall out of sync to play the red. I pause. Then I forget to stop hammering the beat on orange :D
 
Yeah definately, need some more stadium rock, more bon jovi, bryan adams and queen.It does have more than a feeling by boston which is ace. Europe the final countdown would also be quality.

I will go and request on the rock band forums for all the good it will do.
 
Finally got my copy, they treid to deliver the instruments yetserdxay, but I was at work :(

Game came through the post today, so I picked my instruments up, man it' so much fun! Loving it so far
 
Just reading a few forums and some people are now worried the drums we are receiving are refurbished units from America, personally I did notice when I opened my set the pads didn't seem totally new plus people are pointing to the fact that the serial stickers on the drum box is actually covering up another serial number :confused:

One person claimed they opened up their set to do the penny mod and found a penny already inside :)
 
Well I gave in a bought the full kit today with a thumbs up from my other half as well (It helped that I had £150 on a game card to spend) :). Drumming is really good, but neither of us have played guitar hero before and the timing on the guitar can be a bit funny at times. Having said that, my girldfriend is practicing whilst I type and she seems to be improving :).

I won't wait I will buy both. Plus theirs no guarentee the instrument will be of quality or who they get onboard. Or price. If as the trailer says higher standards of instrument then it isn't going to be cheaper than rockband.

Not that I care if it's £200 I will buy it providing it all works and has decent tracks. GH aerosmith too.

I dont really need any other games this year apart from these.

Exactly, Rockband has delivered on DLC where GH has got nowhere. Where as Rockband has so much game play it's going to be a while before I even need DLC and there's plnety of that.
 
Drumming is fun :D

Have to say though when I did take the drums out initially it looked as though there were a few 'hit' marks on it already....Nevermind though - about 1000 more now :D


22% of In Bloom on Expert on drums :D

Now my right foot/ankle hurts :( (I assume higher chairs = better for the foot?)
 
Your on expert already on the drums wow!

The angle of the footpad hurts me too. its a bit steep for me. I'm going to cut out a piece of foam and add it to the footplate where your heel should sit. This will lesson the angle i'm pushing all the time and hopefull be more comfortable.
 
Nope not on expert per se - just fancied annihilating myself :D

Keeping rhythm on the red and yellows is easy (and way too slow on Easy/Medium) it's just the bass drum and changes to green that kill me :(

Yeah I didnt think it would be much of a challenge for the guys who finish GH3 on expert.

Reading the rockband forums people are demanding an answer on whether we got refurbs or not. So far no official reply. I'm sure there are laws against that in this country?
