Noob watercooled build..

upped V-core due to BSOD.

Now stable (so far, 47 mins) at 1.20-1.21v

Temps are currently (averaged over 50 mins in everests stability test)

Core 2 - 50.6 C
Core 1 - 52.3 C
Core 3 - 54.1 C
Core 4 - 57.8 C

Ahh, overheat protection was set at 70 degrees for north and south bridge, so it cut out.:D

What's the NB and SB safe to / good at.

Prime was only using 50% of my quad cores, assumed it didn't support the Xeon.

Same with Orthos... 50%

I thought the 4 core one was a specific one?

try it! you never know, its what I'm running and its fine, I thought it was CPU independant too so cpu compatibility wasn't an issue?

Looks really nice mate, always liked the Silverstone cases, expensive but worth it. Out of interest how is the Xeon performing? Is it really true that the Xeon is a better choice for overclocking than the Q9450 because of the better yields?

Don't have a clue how well it's going Nick. I just keeping pushing things til it falls over. :D

Thinking I might watercool the north and south bridges next as I can't find out what the games are like until next month on this crappy X1650 pro . lolz

3.560Mhz and fell over again
Upped BIOS voltage to 1.268 but Everest still reporting it as 1.21 during testing
Core 4 hovering under the 60 degrees mark

err most of us need 1.4v to get 3.56Ghz so stop complaining!

You have two things going on:vdrop and vdroop

Your setting in bios will always become less in actual windows. Then under load this drops further.

If you can get you chip stable and 1.3v under load you will have one hell of a chip which is likelt to do 4Ghz.

OH... hehehe
Good news then.

Looks like I should buy a larger rad then.
Off to the shop we go...
