What is GT5's competition on the 360?

Its very rarely a final product now, as it seems developers now on purpusly leave out content so they can charge for it 6 months down the line as an extra download.

So your saying GT5 is finished and thay are holding it back ? or am i reading it wrong.

Hes saying as they charge for it, it should be critiqued as a finished product even if it isn't.

I do feel that value for money should also be addressed though, and as GT5:P costs 1/2 what the other two games cost at release i do think it's a fantastic product (as are the other two games, especially PGR)

Totally agree, they lost any right they had to say 'dont complain, its not finished' the second the greedy swines decided to charge for it im affraid. I know the 'Full' version is some way off, but then why not release the thing as a FREE demo, then no one could moan as its clearly a work in progress.

Forza II beets GT5p for realism
PGR4 beets GT5p for fun

just my 2 cents

ops sorry made a mistake thought you was quoting me :D

GT5P is £20 ish...?

Forza and PGR can be had for £10 each easily, so effective twice the price.

Sorry you lost me ? what i am saying it's not the final product your post is nothing todo with the price of eggs.

I was agreeing with Nokkons comment not yours, IMO the fact that they charged for it, makes it elligible for comparisons and criticism. both of whic i did in my post, so I dont really get your comment about 'the price of eggs', im sorry if my opinion isnt the same as yours, such is life!

hehe yes i see now i have corrected my prev post sorry :)

Its got over 8 hours of game play, more than some full-price games, I think the term demo is a little bit extreme. If you're a bit of tight arse I can understand why you would moan at the 17.99 price tag but it didn't really bother me. Update problems annoyed me more.

I used to think that. But now I am used to triggers I far prefer it.

Really fallen for Forza2, not been so addicted to a racing game since GT4 came out (and GT3 before it, GT2 and then back to GT1 :p):D)
The thing i really hate about it is that with triggers, your left hand has to do smooth steering and smooth braking, but your right hand just has to accelerate. unbalanced.

I prefer the balance of playing it on the Dualshock with pressure sensitive buttons

It wouldnt be so bad on the 360 if the action buttons werent so bad and unergonomic, they're not at all designed to be pushed down for a long time. And no excuse for skimping on pressure sensitive

pressure sensitive buttons just **** me off tbh, especially for games where you have to hold them a lot. Means you have to place maximum pressure constantly.

Why do you do this ? every one knows it's not the final product.

It's massively valid, you just don't want to see it. They charged £25 for it, therefore it's a product out there that has to be judged on all its areas. You charge something, especially something so expensive, then it IS a final product.

It wasn't a demo when people were looking forward to it, now it is a demo when the reviews aren't too flattering? Interesting.
