you can indeed. whenever you reinstall windows you dont have to do anything with steam, just run the exe again. add it to the startup folder or start menu if you like
Indeed. I just keep steam on a seperate drive to windows. Reinstalls of windows don't really cause any more hassle for steam than it taking an extra few seconds to startup the first time you run it.
Remember that the Source engine itself takes up a huge chunk of space and that EP2 (The Orange Box) and HL2DM run on different versions of the engine so you have two copies of it. If you were to add something like HL2 to steam then you will notice that it won't add as much compared to if you installed it on it's own as most Valve games share common source engine files which take up a lot of the room.
Yep just Audiosurf, used to have HL2 and stuff installed but haven't reinstalled it since i cleared my hard drive up. Just chuck in the orange box on 360 now if I want a quick play.
