What exactly entails "being" English exactly. AS for banning speaking another language in public, well done you single handedly killed billions of pounds generated by the tourist industry in this country. You wiped out thousands, maybe and probably into the hundreds of thousands of jobs in one fell swoop. Killed billions in tax which will have to be made up but the rest of the workforce. To create more jobs for all those who suddenly find themselves out of a job for your plan of sheer intolerance the government again will create thousands more completely useless paper pushing jobs paid for out of taxes, so a second massive tax bump all for a truly ridiculous idea that is simply nothing at all but racist.
I mean the single upside would be other countries would hopefully take up this plan of action too, I'm thinking specifically all those places chavs bundle to on holidays, hopefully we could see them all locked up in those countries.
On a more serious note, can you imagine the same thing happening, someone being fined or whatever else because they went on holiday and didn't know the full language before they touched down.
At the end of the day learned language at a young age is fairly natural, even if you learn multiple languages VERY young you would still have a dominant language and without thinking these are simply the words that come out when you think. I "think" in english, even if foreigners can speak english, they don't think in english. You can simply not change this, ever, suggesting we should or could, or suggesting its a awful thing is quite simply ridiculous.
There are dozens of reasons for wanting certain groups of people gone, freeloaders, benefit grabbing lazy idiots and the like and those would be valid reasons, be they foreign or home grown.
