Getting ganked is fun?

I used to play on PvP servers in Warcraft/DAoC and really enjoyed them, but i cant see any differance from playing on a pve server, i can quest without getting ganked and logging out for 30 mins while i wait for someone to spawn.

PvP servers are full of kids as well, fair enough if you like PvP but its not what it used to be any more, and pve servers are still great fun.

I would say broken is maybe a bit strong,but there are issues and really 22 is a bit low to tell from my point of view.it is just what i picked up off the forums,but what worries me is how useful they are in a group?.

There are issues with most if not all classes at the moment.

Level 33 and i can't find an area with loads of quest. Im in wild lands now and just not much for me to do there, so please tell me where to go to get a lot of quests, because looking at the map in game and the quest zones is just not helping me and ive spent far too long running from area to area, to find a town so i can get back in to my game.

How about at the weekend come back to the starter city and show me how i am meant to play this game lol.....

That will keep you busy for a few hours and i promise, you will be laughing your head off at some of the things i get upto!

Hi guys, I'm thinking of getting into this. I heard this game has its zones instanced... how does that work? Like Guild Wars or something? Cos then that doesn't really make it an MMO does it...
 
Balanced classes and funcom? :p Nt on anarchy online springs to mind ;)

Like the sound of work being done on demo's. Although if they suck so bad why did they just recieve a nerf in the form of recharge on area nukes? :(

It does make it an MMO?

It makes the server more manageable and usually lower pings (which is what i get at least).

You can change the instance you are in if you feel you are lagging a bit or are getting ganked by someone. Dont let that ruin the game for you because its great. Choosing not to buy a game because of the way it loads shouldnt really affect the fun factor.
 
Any chance anyone can do a (stickyable?) patch notes thread, as its obv quite a few people (myself included) can't get onto the AoC forums, but I'd still like to be able to see the changes they make in the patches.
 
On the PvP vs PVE debate. I have got chars to mid 20s on both server sets.

I got totally annoyed with the PvP server as far too many people thought is was extremely funny to come and attack me when I was mid fight (also they would be 5+ levels above me).

Now after work when I just want to get on with some questing and do little else I found this too annoying.

The Carebare rubbish does my nut in, played PvP in WOW as well, if you can't enjoy your game because of total idiots whats the point.
 
Well that was a shortlived game,

Played for less than a week and I'm already struggling to play for more than 10 minutes. Such a let down for me :(

Horrible bugs in it, just feels really clunky moving around. Combat system is even more of a button mashing system than any other game despite its promise

Quests are so tiresome, the story/lore doesnt interest me that much so far.

Oh well, waste of 30 quid
