Have not read through the whole thread but:

The magistrates can offer you a drink drive awareness course and if you accept and complete it, this will reduce any ban by 25%. The course costs about £160 to complete.

yeah hopefully. i got that for speeding a £75 fine and a course.

I'm a lout and 17 and wouldn't even consider driving drunk. Your a nutter. One of my mates still drives after 4 pints, i always moan at him. No respect at all for drink-drivers, it's just not worth it.

edit- 90mg in 100ml ... isnt the legal limit like 35 or 45? Your a mug :)

Even after all the posts condemning your behaviour and calling you out for being an imbecile and a self-centered moron (entirely justifiably), you're still only ever posting with a 'me me me i dont care about anything or anyone but me'-attitude (as has already been excellently highlighted), which gives the whole thing a serious whiff of total BS and wind up... yet somehow I think you're real.

Which is sad, and tragic.

You're a waste of carbon*

*replace with your favourite element as applicable

what do u want me to say??

o dear, some of you need to stfu to be honest. Yes, people make mistakes.. Yes people are naive and young, so what. I guarantee you a lot of you here have driven over the limit, maybe once or twice. So what, youve still done it. If you got caught on those times youve done it, you wouldnt be giving the OP hassle. Some of you, seriously, make me ****** angry.

and op, if you plead guilty at the first available opportunity you will get 12 months, and if you take the drink driving awarenss course you will get 3 months reduction. Hopefully no fine aswell, and a referal order for 3 months. Dont plead not guilty though.

I dont think the majority are as annoyed at the drink driving as they are at having no insurance!

For a start that you might consider the law and possible implications of your actions?

At the moment I suspect if you went up before a magistrate with the attitude you've shown at times in this thread and on this forum you'd be lucky to get away with something in the middle of the range of punishments their guidelines allow.

I'm sorry if it seems that we're being a bit harsh, but by your own admission and comments you don't seem overly concerned by the law, and for many of us who obey the law (in general), and have had run ins with people under similar circumstances to yours it tends to rub on our collective nerves*.

If/When you get your licence back (I've zero doubt you'll be banned for at least a year if what you've said is true), I would hope your attitude to driving will have changed dramatically.

Salami - he wasn't just over the limit (as in had two pints and was 40mg instead of 35), he was damn near three times over the limit - not something that I suspect is really that easy to do by mistake (unless your pint is of whisky), but as has already been said the real killer is that he was uninsured as well which is not a mistake.

*I suspect many of the regulars in motors have had run ins (sometimes literally) with drink drivers, or uninsured drivers.

i suspect you would have a different opinion if you've been directly affected by a drunk driver
there is NO excuse for being over the legal limit, let along blowing 90

the OP is a **** who deserves everything he gets and i can't see how this is even a debate

ok, 3 times over the limit is quite a lot to be fair. Obviously if a drunk driver hit you, you wouldnt be happy, but given him all this ****, 12 pages of **** is quite harsh. I think he feels bad enough. Whos car was the op driving, his own or what?

the UK has quite a high limit compared to other countries in Europe, and in quite a few the limit is ZERO

THREE TIMES the uk limit is absurdly high
what is wrong with you?

and tbh i couldn't give a **** how the OP feels, why should i feel sympathy for someone who is clearly a complete idiot?

how is it you tard, over the limit is 1 can of beer and a bit. just over 3 beers is what the OP must have been on, im a lightweight and I could still drive after 3 and a half beers. Yes, its the law and you shouldnt do it but its not like he would be driving totally eratic

You what?

The guy was planning on driving a car while drunk, and without insurance. If he had hit any other cars they would have had no grounds to claim, and if he had hit anyone, he could have killed them, yet you think 12 pages of forum thrashing is harsh?!?

This is childs play! Hes getting a ban, possibly a fine, and hopefully a life shock, this is just the warmup. He will be a drink driver as far as insurance is concerned for atleast 5 years.

Stop defending him and, in your words, stfu.

For the 3rd time, OP - Shut up, Pack up, **** off!
