I've been trying to get to sleep since about 11.30.

Drunken 15 year olds in the street have been keeping me awake yelling up and down the street.

"Don't do that Sam, that car is really rare" prompted me to look out of the bedroom window... 'Sam' was laying on the roof of my 1980 Mini Clubman Estate. Half asleep, grabbed my dressing gown and whisked outside. He wasn't on the roof when I got there...

"What the **** are you doing!?!" says I naturally. "What the **** you on about, I weren't on no roof. Why the **** would I go on the roof of a mini?" came the reply. His sober mate actually apologised on his behalf (I think he actually lives in our street). I was a bit PO'd (as I'm sure you can all appreciate!), and laid the verbal on to this drunkard a bit thick.

He continued to deny all knowledge, and then out of nowhere punched me in the jaw. Now, I'm not a small bloke, so I don't know what he trying to achieve. When he realised the punch hadn't even staggered me, he looked as his mate and made a sharp exit.

Fortunately no damage done to the roof. I'll have to check the quarters in the morning, but they're well built it's fair to say.

He mate actually came back while I was checking the roof and apologised again, and check that both I and the car were OK. I wish more kids were like that.

Anyway, I'm not going to sleep tonight. 4 years ago or so, my 1100 Clubman Saloon was torched by my next door neighbour (living at a previous address fortunately), so it's left me feeling a little paranoid (not to mention cursed).

why did you let him hit you and not retaliate? he obviously had no care for others possesions, i wouldnt even of let him get a chance to hit me, i would have already laid 10 into him before he even knew i had come outside the house

I'm a Scout leader. If I get even *accused* of assault on a minor, it's a very very bad thing.

As his mate was explaining, he was a very drunk fifteen year old.

The name Psycho for a reason? :p

There's being annoyed but when his mate came and apologised twice then theres no need for the extra violence is there?

As far as the OP can tell, no damage done, got an apology - that's the end of it.

If he damaged it and started on the OP, then yeah beat the kid like a ginger stepchild.

I know a chap who can't pass the CRB check to work with kids now, because he has been cautioned for "striking a minor", the fact this minor was 6 1/2ft tall and looked 22 bears no influence.

My point exactly. I'm not much of a fighter anyway, but given that he'd already crapped himself and started to do one, it made no sense at all to drag things out.

the police in this country are simply useless, minors should be prosecuted, the government say they wanna crack down on kids drinking, etc

but i doubt they really do because its so highly taxed, if they wanted it done, all it would take is a simple call to the chief of police and a few bits of legislation to be passed where minors could be prosecuted for under age drinking and after they start to get fined rather than put in a juvenile centre, they would soon stop

the government and the police here are a joke, you dont see this sort of stuff happening in other countries

When i was 15, me and my mate's never damaged car's, we just had a fun time but even tho we was drunk we could just work out what we was doing.

Not always best is it though? If he did retaliate then the drunk kids are more than likely going to get back again probably by doing something to his car or house.
