it's your cpu score. 1700 is miserable. Overclock it and your score will significantly increase.

performance in games is ok expect the counter strike stress test seems a bit low.

The source engine is quite cpu limited. OC'ing your cpu would see a decent gain here.

what exactly does it change when you set it to performance.

i hardly ever go into nvidia control panel to mess about with things as i never really have the need to.

It changes the image quality.

If you want the highest score possible then bench at performance with AA and AF off.

This is the correct way to run a 3D benchmark.

That way everyone is playing from the same standpoint.

Making comparisons easier.

Had a look through old orb results & i got 9349 with an [email protected] & a 640mb 8800 @ stock, so the score looks about right to me

Get that cpu clocked

Strange the max ive been able to get is around 9100 with cpu @2.5 & gfc @ 620

Not really.

I was able to get 10k (10002!) with mine heavily overclocked but cpu at stock (6600 2.4ghz).

how heavy was the clock, on air/ water. Being able to get it to 64 but not very stabel as the cpu was @2.7
