My point was, nothing has actually happened, you haven't actually hurt/griefed anyone, but you get a speeding ticket for what? Because of what might have happened. Where's the fairness/logic?

No you get the ticket because you willfully and knowingly broke the law...

If it take some drugs in my house, I don't hurt or "grief" (wtf?) someone but i still break the law.

You should only get punished when you've actually harmed someone else. Bleh, such a nanny-state. Police would be so much more effective if they only had to worry about what people are doing to each other, instead of what they're doing to themselves too. To hell with themselves, people can do what they like to themselves, look at that other thread of a guy trying to make himself fat! Why isn't that illegal :p

But if you only get a speeding ticket if you actually crash/hit someone etc then it's pointless.


It's there so you don;t speed, because even if you think it's safe if someone does run out in front of you unexpectedly, if you where doing 30 and you hit them they have a much greater chance of survival than if you hit them at 40+ (something like an extra 80% chance to not die)

If someone else crosses the line falls asleep etc and hits you if your doing the lower legal limit you're both more likely to live, than if you are speeding even if you do nothing else wrong.

Have you ever removed a break caliper? It's not exactly a 10 minute job, and he had to do both rears, he just did the left one first which didn't make any noise, and the right one second, which would have been all fine and quiet, if the bolts hadn't seized.
