USA uses brain for once: Obama 'clinches nomination'

Well, forget it, nothing is going to change.... this article really just shows that he's just like the rest of them. :(

Seriously... if there's ever a massive sign that you're a neocon who speaks louder than actions and panders to the lobbyists despite vehemently claiming otherwise, it's unabated pandering to Israel and the Jewish lobbyists. ffs.

Don't care about American politics anymore.

Unfortunately, you can't even run for president without the backing of the Israel Lobby groups. Unless you show your support for Israel from the very start it's impossible to get the financial backing needed to run a campaign and you'll most likely be branded an anti-semite into the bargain. It's shocking. People don't believe me when I tell them this....but maybe the fact that the Democratic nominee has come out with this sycophantic pro-Israel spew as his first order of business might make people think twice.

It's a bad bad day.

If Obama gets in. He will pull out of Iraq and Iraq will go to pot.
Regardless of whether we should or shouldn't of gone in. We did and now it is are responsibility to insure Iraqis safety, it's irresponsible and damn right criminal to pull out at the moment.

Iraq has already gone to pot. The best thing we can do is pull out now and let them all kill each other, as they are so clearly intent on doing.

At least they won't be able to say that we're killing them.

It's not good, but can you imagine what it would be like if we pull out. We have to stay there is no option.

Of course we can pull out, just like the Yanks pulled out of Vietnam.

The locals don't want us there, and we're losing too much by staying there, so why not do them a favour and leave?

We can accomplish no good by remaining. The past 5 years have demonstrated that only too well.

Barack Obama finds himself standing at the Pearly Gates.
Angel: STOP!! You may not enter until you name one good deed you have done on earth.
Obama: Well....I was the first black president of the United States of America.
Angel: REALLY!?!?! When did this happen?
Obama: About 12 seconds ago.

Haha thats good! Shame its true though. Too many black-haters in America imo, and because of this I think he'll get assassinated :(

So perhaps finally we are starting to see a cleanup of the administration at the US. Will Obama stick to his rhetoric and keep Clinton far away as possible from the White House (ie, NOT a running mate) or will we see more of the same? Personally, I am now very excited for the near-future. We haven't had a democrat in the house for a long time.

(and yes, this DOES affect and is important to us Brits)

Apart from he seems to be now promoting this.

Barack Obama strode on to the international stage for the first time as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee-elect and vowed to use “all elements of American power” to eliminate Iran’s nuclear threat.

He told America’s powerful pro-Israel lobby: “I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. Everything.”

My sentiments too.

That's laughable considering the Iraqi's don't want the troops there. More so they're fighting them.

How much more blatant can the situation be?

I've been saying this ever since the Democratic candidate race started, but as usual no-one listens. Still, the BBC have got their man - be interesting to see if they give him the same amount of bad press.
