Some new footage of the game has been released of what looks like in-game action over at Shacknews. It's not the best quality but at least it highlights that this may come out (sometime soon hopefully!)
 
Lol it's been 'work in progress' for nearly 10 years now. Might be decent judging from that video.

If people manage to get over the fact it's been in development for so long (I know that's hard for some people - silly IMO), I think everyone's going to love DNF. I've always said it's going to be a good game and really, if it's pants, I'll be in a state of shock. But it won't be pants. Perhaps it won't reflect a 10 year development cycle, but it will certainly be a great game - I have 100% confidence in it!
 
I remember the fuss about doom 3 coming out, the first 2 games are looked back on as classics so everyone really wanted the 3rd game, yet it was total pap.

I see DNF going the same way tbh.

It will have an initial burst of sales, people will realise that it is just average and no one will be bothered with it. I see it being a very popular pirated game however, purely because people will not want to risk spending £40 on a flop.
 
I disagree that it'll be a flop... thats exactly why they spent ten years making it - the first couple of versions they were making, they didn't like. They're obviously trying very hard not to make a flop.

I don't think it will have the depth of Half-life & Co, but it'll sure as hell be a Halo 3 beater (not in terms of sales, in terms of gameplay). Well

That is exactly the reason it will be a flop! People assuming that 10 years in development means it must be a kick ass game, top notch and no bugs not to mention an amazing MP. Any game that his this much hype is bound to end up in the flop bin because it will not live up to peoples expectations. not to mention its got to compete with the previous games, games that many people look back on with great fondness.

Not exactly hard to have better gameplay than the Halo series though :D
 
This game best be histories greatest contribution to human culture and the cure for atleast one typre of cancer.
