I'm kinda disappointed its based on the half life 2 engine rather than the unreal 3 one etc but then it'd be another 5 years

Apparently they're running an old unreal engine thats been heavily modified.

I never played the original duke nukem

What type of game will this be, what type of shooter I mean ?
Fast slow weapons environment time etc ?

it's not its running on a modified(well actually virtually totally new with just a few networking things still in) unreal engine.

If you've ever played Prey my guess is it will probably play similar to that.

I used to play Duke3D loads on network, made custom maps etc. I loved it so much I stole his name

I can't believe it was released so long ago - 1996!

Where do people get the idea that it's source? It looks nothing like it in game. Source is all pretty specular and smooth. Unreal is far far grittier.

I can't wait for Duke Nukem Forever, thats if they release it. I've always been a big fan of the Duke Nukem games, used to play the PS1 ones back when I was like 8 or 9 lol. The new footage looks cool and gives me hope it will be released sometime soon.

it looks like another standard pc shooter to me, silly weapons and all included.

I remember reading about this like 8 years ago when it was slated for release on the N64 haha. I seriously doubt this game will ever come out.
