My new car...

Nice car mate , now go and polish it to death and notice all the 'bad things' ( if any of course) you notice for future reference! door dings..ect :mad: :)

If I wasn't busy tomorrow it'd be done then! :) I pretty much went over it with a fine tooth comb before I bought it though...so I know there are 3 stone chips on the bonnet for example :p

Can you *honestly* say that an MGZS looks better than an RSAP Mondeo though?

I definitely can. I really don't think that RSAP Mondeos look that nice, dare I say it they look a bit chav to me.

Matter of opinion though, I respect that they are NOT chav, just to my eyes the bodykit is a bit ott.

Sorry, but the rover in drag just looks crud :(

Like you wish you had an evo or a scooby, but couldn't afford one. So instead settled for the fisher price equivalent.

I'd have one no problem! Not for £2650 of my own money (although that seems stonking value for what you get considering the age of it!) but I would probably strongly consider them against a similar "class" of car - ST24 etc :)

Just don't stack it or make ridiculously crap mods to it! :p

Thats a lot of car for very little money, seems like good value to me. Regardless of what folk say and think, at the end of the day if it makes you happy and you like it, thats all that matters. :)

How is it?

You get a car designed in 1992, with an interior designed in 1992, nothing up to date in it at all, besides the number plate, and styling that makes barryboys look subtle.

The ZT is a lot of car for very little money, an e38 7-series is a lot of car for very little money.

The MG is a new numberplate for very little money.

well said, it's not a lot of car at all i bet it doesn't even have side air bags or traction control not to mension climate, electic seats ect??

Trust me, after the nightmare of traction control on my Astra the last thing I want is traction control (at least traction control that can't be switched off) on my next car

A car isn't all about traction control, climate, electric seats etc. If that's what you think then you've missed the point of the ZS by a mile

Why the Mondeo comparisons? This is a Focus class car, the original 400 was competing with Escorts and Astras when it came out. A Mk3 Mondeo for example is hugely bigger.

And of course it feels awesome to drive, how could it not coming from a 1.6 Astra and an old Saab?

If that's what you think then you've missed the point of the ZS by a mile

The point of the ZS was to provide MG Rover with a quick cash injection by rehashing previous models rather than investing in new ones, was it not?

IMO and opinions cannot be wrong apparently... :P

The car seems quite big (therefore youre getting a lot of it) and £2650 is pretty much peanuts.

A hollow mile long cardboard tube is quite long. Does that make it a lot of tube for your money if it costs £10k?

No?

THIS IS A LOT OF CAR FOR THE MONEY http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/542922.htm (yes, I know its not the same class of car, and I know its not going to handle as well, but its the point of being a "lot" of car)
