PC's today can run this eyecandy with no real issue, you save very little resources not doing so.

I can see the reason for peeps liking XP stableness back in the day but classic theme but Vista had many flavours.

how do you get games to appear in the game browser?

i have installed cod4 for a while but it didnt go into the browser and i dont know how to move it into there?

I've you've just started pc gaming again, you sure know how to pick the games that are worse :eek:

Get CoD4 instead of Crysis, Gears of War instead of halo ( although GoW isn't the greatest game either, it's better than halo imo) and CoH instead of WiC.

Lotro is ok I guess and flight sim too.

If you like FPs games: You might want to also consider the orange box.
If you like strategy, then supreme commander might be something for ya too.

i already have cod4 on 360 and i got crysis free with my gfx card, also got gears for the 360.

might pick up portal, never liked half life though so might just get the stand alone game so long as it doesn't install any steam crap.

Might be hard you need steam unless you go the less legal way.
But ok fair enough, but all I have to say is that CoD4 is 100X better on pc than on console

Really? I couldn't stand playing it lol all it has for it is gfx not nice game play at all.
The games last way too short too.

you still need to install steam even if you buy a boxed copy? thats messed up.

will look into CoH, although i am enjoying WiC quite abit.

Click on the game in the start menu, send to desktop (create shortcut), then drag the shortcut into the Game Explorer. Job done

That kinda of works.

Games need be written to support it by the Vendor, you can see how to add them a bit more properly by Googling how to do it, so you get the info at the side and not a simply Shortcut of it.

I'm not sure, I think so, I haven't bought any steam games in a box, but afaik, it are all just product codes, install data and the manual, you still need steam to update & run it afaik ?

Btw stellios, you could also try the VGE to fix the low quality icons.
