Just wondering if anyone has heard of or used this ticket selling site before - SOS Masterticket.

Was about to buy a Reading festival ticket for £200 but thought I should make sure..

not heard of it, i'd use somewhere like viagogo or getmein... although maybe buy it on a credit card if you can't find somewhere else, you should have a fare amount of protection through the chargeback process...

(http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/703881b10a6f69dc9d342e91d93ccc1f/compdetails - only been around since March... )

end of the day its all about the people that are scalping, sorry sell the tickets through the site, and the comeback the ticketing site has if you don't get your tickets, check the terms and conditions for selling and buying carefully, a decent site shouldn't release the money to the seller till you've received the tickets successfully. There are a lot of sellers trying to scam the system, posting fake tickets (for the tracking number or to get you to release the funds) but conversly i guess there are lots of buyers doing similar

They have only been trading a few months, but they have already been through a name change (they seem to have been formally known as sosticketmaster.com). Then theres the Spanish address. What kind of business address starts off with "Block 2, 2nd Floor, Door b"?

Lastly, after a quick google, there appears to be someone here claiming its a scam, although they don't offer more information or any proof:

I've linked to the google cache version as that page is down at time of writing.

It could be legit as the site does look pretty professional, but I'd be very careful.

It's not legit. Firstly, they are based in Spain, secondly, their site doesn't work properly, thirdly, a complete lack of info on Google (and the small amount of info that is there says "scam") is a bad sign.

That site has no credibility in my opinion and you should avoid it.

Instead, try Seatwave. They're like the eBay of the ticketing market. I personally havn't tried them but they have had decent press, and the guy who owns it is credible. Obviously though, there is still the risk of not getting what you want but they offer a lot more protection than the other (con) sites out there.

Do not trust Them/ any suggestions?

I have bought two tickets via this site. Few days after I've noticed my credic card was overcharged by them nearly £100. I've requested a new credit card, so they cant charge me any more. Rang to them and said I was overcharged. They asked me to sent ( fax ), a copy of my credit card statement, which I did, 5 day later I did not heard anything from them despite sending few e mails. I've try to contact them over the phone in the afternoon and few times a person over the phone was pretending to be answer machine (sic!) saying that lines are open between 9am -3pm! After several times finaly some one took the call. They are very rude, and for me it's seems like they are chavs, without any manner and respect for others.
Overall, I'm trying to get my money back at first. I've contacted my bank about refunding my money. I let know consumer direct (they said they going to look closer at this company).
If anyone have similiar experience please let me know. I'm more interested is it possible to get all the money back. Consumer direct said to me that if credit card transaction was over £100, my bank might be eligible for that transaction ( credit act 974 sect. 75)
Do not trust them/ do not use their services, they will steal your money and probably you will not see the tickets as well.

I thougt reading tickets sold out on the day they went on sale?

they did but they sell out so quick because 1000s of people buy more than they need so they can sell them on for profit

for the last 4/5 years mates have bought leeds tickets for face vaule on the day of the festival because of touts buyong too many and having them left over :D

contact the bank again and tell them that you want to open a chargeback against the payment as the payment was in excess of what was agreed, once you've explained that its a ticket touting site they should get on it pretty much immediately and you should get your refund running within a week... Your bank won't get charged for the transaction they basically just take the money straight back off the merchant (and charge them for the privileged :) )
