All New Summer 2008 Transfer Merry Go Round/Rumour Mill

didnt we get Zenden from M'boro????

so why would he not do buisnes IF the storys over Downing are True ??

Considering Zenden cost you nothing, do you not think that might suggest he was a bosman signing?

He won't do business with Parry because of the whole episode over Ziege. He has stated on several occasions that whilst Parry is at Liverpool he won't attempt to sign any Liverpool player nor will he sell any Boro player under contract. Unless he has recently changed his stance nothing will be happening between the two clubs in the foreseeable future.

As for him moving anywhere this summer, I'd be extremely surprised. He is more then happy to stay for at least 12 months, he has recently signed a new contract, Capallo has shown some faith in him and he has improved massively in the past 12 months. I'm still not sure he is good enough for a top 4 team. I also think his progress would be better suited with us where he will be guaranteed first team football every week.

I can't believe all the Liverpool talk. No-one's talking about Arsenal which makes a nice change :) I think that Liverpool could do with shaping up their defence a little bit just for cover.

As for my team Man Utd i'm quite happy with our team. I still think that we're just one quality target man from an amazing amazing amazing team. A team that can match the season we had this season. Whoever that striker is they need to be proven not just a "potentially amazing player"

He's not put on that much weight! Surely he will still fit in just one city and not end up in many. ;) :D

The obvious ones are the best :D

It is sad that someone with so much talent and flair is going to a club just for the money (yeah he may not have been at his best for a year or so but even so, still a pity)

funny yesterday how someone was saying he said he wanted RM or Barca.

Doubt we'll go for him tbh, unless Rafas been naughty and does infact have a little bit of cash ;)

Just goes to show that you shouldn't believe anything about transfers until they're done;)

I reckon Rafa will blow all of next seasons budget on Villa, and then have to spend the whole of next season paying his own players with a mixture of monopoly money, post-dated cheques, Prem sticker collections, reserve teamers, and post-it note IOUs.

Stevie G won't mind, cos he'll get Mayfair (with hotel!), a shiny Everton badge, and Anthony Le Tallec.
