Firefox 3.0 Download Day (Guinness World Record)

Never said I was just downloading it once. ;)
Code:
#!/bin/bash
while true ; do curl -O http://kyoto-mz-dl.sinet.ad.jp/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0/linux-i686/en-US/firefox-3.0.tar.bz2; done
:D

A valiant effort but it won't count.
*Can we download more than one copy of Firefox per computer?
No, please play nice and only download one copy of Firefox per computer. We ask that you refrain from creating download bots or any other mechanism that would be cheating. In order for our attempt to be legitimate, each download must be human initiated.

*What is Mozilla doing to make sure the record attempt is valid?
Mozilla will only count downloads that are fully and completely transmitted, not partial or complete updates. We will also discard duplicate downloads with the help of a cookie system. We will be logging our downloads using Apache and these logs will be made available for audit to Guinness World Records™, as well as two judges - Corey Shields and Paul Vixie.

i uninstalled it slower and laggy on some websites

Something to do with your system or your connection, then, or just a coincidence. Fx3 is much, much faster than Fx2.

Went back to older version..Cant stand that address bar!!
This new address bar is 100% cack.

Having used it for a week or two, I now wonder how I browsed without it. I think many people who dislike it are simply unnerved that it's different and need to spend a little while getting used to it. Stick with it, sure you'll see the benefits soon enough!

And how can you possibly switch back to v2 after using v3? It's so much slower on JavaScript-heavy sites, feels like I'm using IE again.

it might be swapping more to disk in response to widespread complaints about Fx2's policy of holding fully-rendered pages in memory for quick recall.

Also, when you first install it it has to download and create the entire database of dodgy sites and malware... might still be doing that.

Downloaded. At least they've finally done what appears to be a decent Mac version that runs on electrons rather than syrup.

I've downloaded it, i'll give it a proper look at tomorrow. The only thing thats kept me using safari is that firefox always felt really clunky to me.

I didn't have that problem on the pc version, just the mac.

Really am liking this firefox, everything seems much quicker and gmail for me was as slow as hell but is real quick now.
