Firefox 3.0 Download Day (Guinness World Record)

Don't like the address bar I miss just clicking on it and having a list of the sites I typed in.

Seems a little faster, now have to wait for google sync extension to be released that works with this version.

For me, its because I had a routine. I hit the g key, pressed down and hit enter. That took me to the forum I spend most of my time on. But with the new address bar, it wasn't giving that to me as the top option. Same for most of the other sites I visit.

links toolbar for the win

anyone know a way i can get the closed tabs and closed windows buttons back? used to use them all the time but can't find them the way i used to
Where were they? I don't think any such buttons existed in the base configuration. Were they added by a now-disabled extension? Were they found in the customize toolbars menu (they're obviously not there now)?

In the mean time you could try disabling extension checking in about:config or by using Nightly Tester Tools. Chances are good that it would work just fine for most things.

EDIT:

Tab Mix Plus FF3 version.

The version is available at http://tmp.garyr.net/tab_mix_plus-dev-build.xpi Don't know why this page has not been updated with this version yet, but it works perfectly. It's my fav add-on! Discussion thread is available here: http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8925

It learns, so that still applies after a short period of time.

I linked to a blog post in this thread that linked to the dozens of bugs for adding options to restrict searches to tags/history/bookmarks/sock drawer. It's possible the changes will make it into 3.1 which is expected around the end of the year.

:( i cant get live mail to load the full version in ff3, even after clearning cookies/cache/etc - hope its fixed soon if it is infact a bug

The point of the new bar is it learns what you want most out of pressing g. Just live with it, it will learn your needs with in a couple days using it and you wont go back.
