just did a 3dmark run and lost about 10pts on both sm2 and sm3 scores which is within the margin of error. So I can safely assume these do nothing for 3dmark06

well they did say

Regarding this new install system - how safe do you think it is? I'm used to booting to safe mode, wiping drivers clean with Driver Cleaner then rebooting to install new ones - which is quite an annoying process. Has anyone tested this "install without rebooting" process?

Yes & works just fine.

Installed 8.6 on top of 8.4, got asked to reboot after it had finished ("Actions performed by Catalyst Install Manager require a system reboot. Would you like to reboot now?").

Installed 8.6 on top of 8.4, got asked to reboot after it had finished ("Actions performed by Catalyst Install Manager require a system reboot. Would you like to reboot now?").

It did say from 8.5 to 8.6
