mmmmm

New MCR 4TW :D Their R34 is a proper weapon, can't wait to see this one in action. Maybe it will be too big to fit down Gunsai though :p

You should get a kick out of this then. It's the MCR R35 Vs RE Amemiya RX-7 Touge Devil (the same one that hammered MCR's R34 at Gunsai, I think) at Gunma:

About £41k last I looked. Nissan UK's pricing structure has changed, so it's possible it may be different Japan now as well.

Wow, big jump from the 60k here. If I do end up moving to NZ I may get one as I believe NZ does not add any tax or costs onto car imports........

ooo so tempting.

Honestly, what did you think? Personally, I don't think they photograph too well, I was more impressed when I finally saw it.

And what colour was it? I really, really don't like the red for some reason. Like it should have a sticker on the back saying "I wanted a Ferrari, but all I got was this :(" Just a strange hang-up I guess.
It's colour did it no favours being a metalic Browny/Goldy/Mustardy colour with Black wheels and personally it was not my cup of tea colour wise. I spotted it as it was sitting in the middle lane.......all of the lane! The car is BIG make no mistakes and in the brief time I had to observe it I felt it was a scale bigger than other cars if that makes sense, it seemed large with big slab sides and big butt. Its not an ugly car but I don't think it stood out as the colour probably masked its lines even more and I don't think people would look at it that much unless they knew what it was, which is of course zero problem.

I have some pictures somewhere of the white UK car parked next to a white 997 GT3 and that shows how big it looks compared to a 911 too. Even more amazing if it is as quick as Nissan make out having seen its size. I think you need to drive it myself, that is the ONLY test of the car. ;)

Cheers for that. That would be Titanium you saw, which always seems brown to me in the pictures and my last choice bar red.

Regarding the GT3 and the GT-R pics, I think you might be talking about Ben and Cem's cars? Pics are here: http://www.stuttgart9.co.uk/upload/showthread.php?t=5191

Somebody has imported into NZ, 45k OTR it seems. But no warranty and everything in Japanese? That was an older thread though, I'll have a look and see if NZ will ever get it officially.

I think I'm starting to warm to this car.

It's not for the purists, but then it doesn't try to be for the purists.

So, perhaps it should just be accepted for what it is - a cheap way of getting from A to B in ridiculously short amount of time.

Tommy B should be shining your shoes.

Noted. ;)

Sweet :D Impressed it got away from the FD, that looked like a real beast.

Not bad for a fatty. Check out the bhp per ton and the tyres used as well.

im very impressed by how it is all over that RE RX7 which is pretty much a full on race car. The MCR car aint had that much done to it really and he is throwing it around that track and its like it doesnt even car!

Cant wait to see some more of those videos.

Damn that RX-7 looks like such a handful from the interior shots. Excellent video though even though I have no idea what they were saying lol. :D

These truely are stunning machines. There was a GTR owners club over at the Nurburgring the same time I was there last month and I seen one up close then.

The crowd it was pulling was very impresive considering the other cars, costing considerably more than it, that were also on show.

The earlier pic with the R34 is very deceptive, along side my Astra it doesn't look that big:

The engine bay is very

The vinyl mat black one posted earlier is stunning, it would have to be done!!!

I'm still struggling to get over the horrid lights on the front... they really don't suit the car at all imo.

This thread started regarding the 7:29 lap, thought some of you would like to see the official Hi-Def version, with active map and a little intro and outro section. For full screen, just fiddle with the "Menu" setting in the right hand corner.

Somebody has figured out that it takes 23.33 seconds for the GT-R to travel between the gantry to the bridge, which would make a ~7:10 BTG lap.

Anyway, enjoy:

That thing scrubs off speed quite well lol. You know for a fact you are going to enjoy this car fett :)

I really hope so. So much hype usually ends in tears.

I just watched this again. Perhaps it was Nissan's naïvety not to focus specifically on the the rubber that actually ran that lap. Nissan have admitted to a UK-spec diff setting, the optional Dunlops and UK-spec engine mountings running that lap. The actual time is of no importance to me. I just want to know if that *really* is what I'm getting.

On a happier note, Zele have a lovely front bumper conversion that looks tasty.
