yeah but after WW2 and the cold war, it became very difficult to try and start a big war when the other side could just erase you from the map in under an hour.

Until very effective (like 95%+ success rate) anti ICBM's are invented then it's just not going to happen against a nuclear nation.

The French carrier has been away from sea for a year and a half for refit. It is the only french carrier. Therefore the French cannot project a carrier force anyway.

Infact the whole French aircraft carrier project has been a farce, starting when the flight deck was found to be too short for the planes to use!

well the people we're fighting in Iraq/Afghanistan, they have crappy tech, and are only kept going by their numbers we kill something like 10-100 per every man we lose yet they keep on coming. They will outlast us unless we go on a genocidal rampage.

Numbers > tech.
