What do you make of this watch? Honest opinions gratefully received!

Well I tried them both on and I thoroughly didn't like the Oris but totally adored the PO, which is bad news for my wallet! The Oris is too chunky looking and I didn't like the polished strap. Also the face is actuall uglier than in the photo.

I almost bought the PO but they only offered a derisory £150 off the RRP (7.5%) for which I almost wet my pants and told them to go whistle (this was Goldsmiths so perhaps no surprise). Anyway I'm going to hunt round for some smaller independent dealers in the hope of finding a better discount, but the good news is I have found my watch.

P.S. - maybe I should go second hand?

7.5% is rubbish, I got 21% off of mine

But then I think that about 99.9% of watches.

Then your not looking in the right places imho.
Their are plenty of kool funky original designs if you look hard enough, and the majority of them can be had for less than £150!

Recently bought this badboy from ebay for the bargain price of £30 delivered :-)

Was well chuffed getting it that cheap as it's a very rare Storm design which I have never seen before.

Still prefer my Android though:

However both get plenty of attention from the ladies when I'm out on the pull in town :p ;)

P.S) If I had to chose then the top design is far better than the unbelievably boring Omega imho

When going for these discounts, do you just offer them a price way lower? Why is it that a discount seems to be expected?

Omega though.

Omega though.

I can't answer as to why, but when I was browsing in Beaverbrooks in Lakeside last year and looking at the Omegas I asked how much, she told me the price that was on the label and I remember just looking at her and she immediately said something along the lines of "but of course, you don't want to pay that" and did the thing with a calculator and told me a price around 15% below the previous figure.

Whether the fact that I was wearing an expensive watch already had anything to do with it, I don't know but I didn't actually ask for a discount, it was offered.

Despite the fact that the doris was fit and had already made me a coffee, I didn't buy from there!

thats mine on me wrist, got mine last year for £445 and its been fine for the money, but if i had the money id have the bond omega or a nice seamaster. only thing about mine i dislike is the metal strap so i will be swapping it for a rubber one

This talk of discounts could sway me to get a speedmaster professional I've had my eye on.
