not with a good cooling set up .
I wouldnt mind doing this mod to my spare one. Its been lying around for ages in bits, it was on my back when i crashed the motorbike, and worked for a while. Then i gave it to my mate for a bit, and as soon as he plugged it in to his TV, the Red lights appeared. So with all the scratches etc on it, i thought my warranty was definitely void

I like the idea, but my major issue with it is the I/O openings and front USB connectors.
If that is the finished product, it really doesn't look finished.
I want panels that go flush up to the USB ports, panels that go flush with the power connectors (etc...etc...)
It's a good idea in principle, especially for people who want a uniform feel for their home cinema or home entertainment systems and if it helps people who honestly can't live with the noise of the 360 then that's always a plus.
But they really need to sort out those panels. I don't want to pull down the front flap and see the damn motherboard

I have returned over a dozen Xbox 360's which have the warranty seal broken both to shops and MS themselves. Not one has been refused.
I'm pretty sure the reason people are getting all their 360's fixed in any state their sent in will be because it's a 3rd party repairing the 360's and not M$ themselves. So every one they fix is money in their pocket.
