Heyo

anyone else going to the Silverstone F1 testing? Im off tomorrow. Looking forward to standing by the pit exit for some practice start goodness :)

Yeah, it kinda cought us by surprise. My sisters and dad have been before, and we were planning to go wed, but the tickets sold out really fast this year. You can get to all the grandstands along the main straight you can only get to with a Silver or Gold race ticket, and get to go infield too... :)

only place thats open at the track is farm straight due to building works apparently

im there thursday.

what do you mean? For spectating, or gettin infield?

spectating, for the f1 testing... im hoping its just a incorrect rumour myself. as id much rather sit at the complex just as they exit the last corner.

best place through a hole in the fence :)

EDIT:

ah nevermind someone lied...

following the popularity of last year's F1™ test, Silverstone will be opening some of the best grandstands and spectator terraces at no extra charge to ensure fans get the best possible views of the on-track action.

Lol. no way it can be true, they have sold stupid amounts of tickets, and the seating at Farm ammounts to about 200...

And when was that picture taken? If its the last corner then the background should be filled with grandstands if its anywhen near the F1 race date.

last years testing, june 6th i believe.

yeah someone lied they opening all the grandstands again this year. that area behind that picture never has grandstands, it has loads of corp tents etc

They never do open much of the track up for test days. Usually just Luffield to Maggotts I thought from previous years.

RESULT!!!!

Not only did I win two free passes to testing through Motorsport Magazine earlier last week, but I've also won three-day passes for the British Grand Prix next weekthrough Vodafone and get the opportunity to meet Hamilton as well on Saturday (shame I'm an RBR fan though!!!)

Nice one mate. You got paddock passes for this week?

Why is Hamilton not testing on all 3 days  He really needs to up his game right about now. Not spending all his time on sponsor events!
