All New Summer 2008 Transfer Merry Go Round/Rumour Mill

Hearts caretaker manager Stephen Frail has been told his services are no longer required. (Various)

Harsh, not entirely unexpected but still a bit harsh. Considering he has been working under conditions that would cause most normal people to crack (and a couple have) I don't think he has done a bad job. He perhaps isn't quite up to the task of getting Hearts to challenging the Old Firm regularly but it is difficult to know when he has been so crippled by having a fruitbat for an owner to contend with.

I actually think Crouch would suite Arsenal perfectly. He's got amazing feet for such a tall lad and he keeps the ball moving. Not forgetting his size and holding ability.

Its just a shame Benitez couldn't use him better... or at all actually :o

hes not that great at holding it up, not really a replacement for ade.

Benitez uses him well, he nearly always makes an impact when he plays.

Looks like Arshavin will be on his way to Barca then as St. Pete's have confirmed Barca have made a formal move for him.

Crap :( Looks like they've ducked out of the Adebayor and Hleb (YEEEEEEEEES) race and decided to keep Eto'o and buy Arshavin. Lucks sods. I wanted him.

Yeah I know, I mean in a team sense. He leaves him out of the squad way too often and I think its unjust tbh. Whereas he can go and play Kuyt, who played awful mid season, constantly.

Isnt the summer over yet ( you would think it was nearing it from the length of this thread)

a month of actual transfers in July should double this thread if its gonna be as busy as expected, premiership spend is thought to be even higher than last year - and there will still be several weeks left before the 1st match

The question that's more important is, will anybody have him with the amount he'll cost in transfer fee + wages. They might get stuck with him.
We pay Rooney £100,00-£120,00 a week depending on where you read, so I'm sure we wouldn't be afraid to pay Eto'o the same.
