Just tried It.
Cant really get my head around the control system.
I dont feel I'm hitting the ball any differently by pressing either
B,X or A button.
I tried the tutorial and It just confuses me, maybe I'm having a thick day lol.

Graphics don't seem any better (In the demo) to Top Spin 2.

currently I just dont "get It"..

stick with it as the game is loads better than TS2 in terms of gameplay and variety with shot making.

because of the timing control with the new system it's a case of the more you play the better you get, more rewarding in the end but harder at first.

Its an excellent game and you should see some difference in the B and X shots compared to the A shots.

You holding down the button and releasing it when you want to hit the ball? X is like a slice shot and B is a top spin shot I believe.

The game takes some getting used to but once you stick with it for a few games its really rewarding :)

I thought Topspin 2 was a bit carp, I still enjoyed playing it but I did'nt like the GFX or the control system, I will look into the new virtua tennis and this demo

Personally I think they did a great job. The shots aren't too difficult to pull off and I didn't get too many similar rallies.

I like the fact that the players have momentum, so if you start to move one way the further you go the harder it is to switch. I'd much rather that than a Virtua tennis style of diving every where and still being able to recover.

I really enjoyed the game but it takes some practice and getting into. Best tennis game i've ever played though.

Have to agree, Both Top Spin games are much better than Virtua Tennis 3 if you ask me, the constant diving to save every shot was a pain in the ****. Also have to agree with your point about it being the best tennis game I have played.

I hated it until I got the hang of the controls, I still think they're a little odd and the game is far from perfect.

No it's not perfect I would like to see serving much better. I'd like to see a cursor/target moving a bit erratically when power serving because just leaning slightly on the right stick is not really acurate at all. I'd like just a touch more control on the serve.

I also find your better off just pressing A and weak serving against good opponents otherwise you just get it back with added venom. Better to have it returned and then add your own power. There's no real bonus for power serving. Its actually harder to hold serve than break.

The risk shots dont work often enough either. They are just not worth the effort.

they do it's just all in the timing, if i get into good position i can almost always pull off the risk shots......both together is tricky though.

this game is worth the perserverance if you like a more sim type experience, far superior than any other tennis game ever made.

Downloaded the demo and started going through the tutorial. Got to the risk shots bit, but I just can't do one at all. It just doesn't work. Stupid tutorial doesn't even explain it properly.

Yeah I found that really frustrating, just seemed like there was no indication of how to do it differently, just WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Is that the tutorial with the Star at the back of the court? I'm not sure how to progress past that point.

PS, Bought this game yday, Loving it.
