All New Summer 2008 Transfer Merry Go Round/Rumour Mill

There is a sportingo article about three transfers that will definitely happen this summer (incl Ronaldo) but what I wanted to highlight was that it also speculates that there are rarely any big signings that arent known about before they actually happens and looks back at Klinsmann to Spurs as being one of the biggest shocks

Im sure there where others - but surely Anderson to Utd was completely out of the blue last summer (there was spuculation about Nani prior to him signing, but we hadnt even been linked with Anderson)

The majority of Chelsea's transfers will be done on the quiet now after the shoddy way we used to perform.
Bosingwa was totally out of the blue plus a few lesser signings (Di Santo and Ivanovic) too, I wouldn't be surprised if we've already done a couple of deals and are just waiting for Scolari to start before announcing them:)

Good bit of business from Spurs getting a decent keeper who starts for Brazil i believe and getting rid of Lee!

Now to get rid of "chimbombo" + zokora.

If the rumours are true about Arsenal getting Veloso they have a got a great player.

First signing of the summer for Newcastle is....

Aaron Spear! :eek::p

Apparently Arsenal and a few other teams wanted him as well, could just be rubbish though.

I think think he's a striker so hopefully he'll be spear-heading our attack for many years to come.

He's always looked dodgy when I've seen him play.

As I said, he's crazy so you'll see him do crazy things from time to time.. i.e rushing off his line or dropping simple balls, but make no mistake about it he's a match winner for sure. Some of the saves I've seen him pull off I am convinced no other keeper could.

Would have liked him at Arsenal.

Gomez hasn't actually signed yet as far as I can see. Spurs have agreed a fee with PSV. He hasn't agreed terms or got a work permit. Or are the BBC behind the times?
