Gibson les paul worn cherry anyone got one?

OP

I've just looked at the Worn Cherry and to be honest I've never liked that colour.
To me its as though its never been finished off however its what you want and not what I want.
However, one thing we will all advise you is to try it first because Gibson do have a shoddy quality control.

Dmpoole... no mine is Heritage cherry, not worn cherry. A small point I know, but I like to be clear.

It doesnt come out at all well on my pics, both guitars are a lot more gorgeous, but it dont come across well. Must get better pics. Try looking here for an idea...

Cant make up my mind to put the pickgaurd on or not. I would have to drill my guitar!!

Wonder if the op has bought his guitar yet?? post pics and a review.

Worm cherry is just a tad too bright for my taste - higher res pic here , the same type of worn finish in brown really suits LP Studio and it looks really cool. Shame about guitarguitar hiking BFG prices by £200 last month and discontinuing BFG in black all together, I was this -><- close to buying one....

Jimbo, I could get the faded cherry but I also need to get an amp I have £1200 to spend. As I have become older I have become more shrewd with my money, and that worn cherry just seems such good value.

Thanks for the advice about quality dmpoole and I will be playing the one I buy even it means traveling some way...I have never liked the idea of buying a guitar of the internet.

so now I have told you my budget tell what les paul and amp you would get?

Regards

dmpoole, what do you think of the vox valvetronix ? going to look at the line 6 website now;)

I've never used one but it is rated and theres a few on here who've tried them and would recommend them.
I honestly don't think anybody would rate one over the DSL401 though.
