Having just bought Grid over the weekend. I plugged my Logitech Formula For ce Feeback steering wheel that I bought a number of years ago into the PC only to find out that it doesn't work with Vista.

So I'm looking for suggestions as to a good quailty wheel that I can use to play Grid, Trackmania Nations etc. as I can't play these with the keyboard or joystick.

All help appreicated.

Cor, the G25 isn't cheap.

Is it really worth the price tag? I'd consider it but wouldn't want to be let down by its ability.

I'd buy the Driving Force Pro, infact i have!

It's the model down from the G25, costs about £60-70. Only differences are slightly inferior force feedback (but still probably the second best on the market, close behind the G25), the lack of a 6 speed gear stick (it has a shifter and paddles) and the lack of a clutch pedal.

It works perfectly with the PC and if you have a PS2/3 it's fully supported on those too.

i've got the force feedback ex and it works well with vista 64, and works with grid, you just need to configure it ingame and your all set to go.:)

its THE best wheel on the market for a reason, however inflated prices have put it out of reach to most gamers ...

if racing games are your main forte then save up for a G25, its amazing, specially when you use the gears and worth the outlay.

also works perfectly with a PS3

I've had my G25 for about a year and a half now, before this i had the Logitech Momo Racing and before that i had the Logitech Formula Force GP, none of those come even close to the G25 imo.

Just got my G25 on saturday and I'm very impressed with it. Using it with rFactor and the realfeel mod its just amazing. The gearstick feels slightly flimsy compared to the rest of the kit, but it still adds a lot of immersion. Its a hell of a lot better than the xbox 360 steering wheel I was using before.

Its certainly worth the money to me, but then racing is my favourite genre - I just wish it worked with Forza.

Ok Thanks all,

I've just ordered the G25, it's a bit expensive but based on the reviews and the feedback here I've taken the plunge.

I play a lot of racing games so it should get well used.

Cheers for all the help and advice

grats, i forgot to mention the wheel smells lovely.. you'll know what i mean when you get it ;p

Not according to Logitech, the wheel was discontuned from support when Vista arrived. Something to do with the hardware not being capatible, though i think it's more of a ploy by Logitech to sell more wheels.

This is a 6 year old wheel, not to be confused with the EX or other more recent models.

In Vista the wheel is not recognised, I can't get as far as Grid with it as if Vista doens't see it via the Logitech drivers then Grid can't use it.

Is it me or are steering wheels crap with GRID? It made the game harder for me, it seems like Codemasters can't get steering wheels right. Why can't they just map the steering 1:1 like LFS can do with your wheel, so you turn 90 the in game wheel turns 90, and then you set your wheel to the right lock. Not to put off getting a G25 though, I have a Momo and played LFS on my mates G25 and it is a lot more fun, and the build quality is amazing.
